Although the benefits of the different card are indeed very different, depending on her (and your) usual spending, Green might actually be the way to go. Green requires $1000 in 3 months for 25,000 MR, Platinum and Business PRG often have much higher requirements, often $10,000 for 100,000 or 75,000 MR (essentially $3,333 or $2,500 per 25,000 MR) in the same timeframe. For some people (perhaps single, no business, no MS) $10,000 in 3 months can be difficult to meet.

Hi All,
I have been lurking for the past several months and started churning a few months ago. I want to go to NZ in 2017 so I am planning on trying to buy tickets in Feb 2016. I am going to try to get delta business tickets at 80k points one way and use AA economy the other. FYI I am currently meeting min spend on Citi Plat.
I have the following offers:
1)AMEX Plat 100k
2)AMEX PRG 50k
I could also try and get the AMEX everyday for 25k to popup.
note: will also be trying out One VIP for the first time (for the online spend only)
My question is should I just go all out for the plat or try to get the everyday for 25k before it goes away.

Welcome to Flyertalk. There is almost always a 100,000 point offer circulating for the personal Platinum card, and it is almost always targeted. If you allow the invitation to expire you might receive another in a few weeks ... or in a few years ... or never. I wouldn't miss the opportunity.
