It's the actual 4th night... which is most beneficial if the last night is expensive...

Has anyone stayed there recently know if they are allowed in the VIP / invited guest lines?
Last month when my wife and I were in the loooong line at Delano we asked a woman who said yes and she walked us right up to the VIP/Invited guest desk.

I just wrapped up a 36 hour vacation with a friend to Vegas. We stayed at the Delano. Hard to beat free breakfast, $100 resort credit, noon checkin and 4pm checkout on a $140 rate. And we scored a strip view room on one of the top floors.

Add to that the Centurion lounge at LAS and matched mlife status via Hyatt to skip various lines and I think it's a pretty great combo.

As to the Delano invited guests line, I asked the concierge who pointed me to the left-most checkin counter next to the mobile checkin units. There's a very small sign on the counter that says "Invited Guests". The line was backed up almost to the hallway to Mandalay so this very nice to have.

edit: Just checked my folio and it looks like my $100 credit wasn't applied. I had $87 in charges on my folio at Skyfall, Della's Kitchen and the Mandalay Bay pool bar that should've been covered. Forwarded the folio to their support group ([email protected]) so we'll see what happens.

I don't know about the Venetian specifically but you could try calling the front desk and asking them to look at your reservation and see what you are entitled to (rather than asking about FHR generically, although the Vegas properties probably do see enough FHR stays that the front desk would know what it is).

At MGM properties you're generally entitled to use the invited guests line at the front desk, but not any of the VIP check-in lounges.

The Venetian isn't part of FHR, so you won't be entitled to anything there.

Confusingly, Palazzo IS part of FHR, and I've stayed there in the past. You do get to use the Invited Guest line at Palazzo with FHR bookings.

I am new to FHR and I have some general questions:

1. I am interested in booking the Delano, if I only book 1 night, will I get the $100 resort credit?
2. If I book more than 1 room, will all rooms get the $100 resort credit and $30 breakfast credit per day?

Thanks.

You get the $100 credit on one-night stays.

And to be clear you get the $100 resort credit and $30 breakfast credit per room per stay. You are limited to 3 FHR rooms at a time (at least at a single property).

Further note that the breakfast credit is actually $30 per person so it is $60 per day if you book a room for 2 people. You can find some reports further up this thread but the Delano is also particularly generous with their treatment of the breakfast credit, so that in certain cases you can use it for meals other than breakfast, and you can also use it both on the day you check in and check out, meaning it is actually a $120 "breakfast" credit plus the $100 per stay resort credit for a one-night stay. Since you are new to FHR I would emphasize though that the Delano is unusually generous in this -- most FHR properties are not going to offer that much.

But in general one-night stays can be the most lucrative use of FHR, as long as the $100 credit is something that you value and will be able to get use out of during your stay. If you really wanted to, you could do a longer trip in Vegas hopping around the various FHR hotels one night at a time and getting $100 credit each place, though you'd have to debate whether that is actually worth the hassle of moving hotels every night.

I'm a bit confused by this. Is it correct that wifi for up to 4 devices is included in the Resort fee? What is the $18.99/device/day that is referred to in the wiki? Is it possible to decline the resort fee, and have the wifi fees credited instead?

I was told that the resort fee included wifi. When I was getting ready to check out, my resort fee was $30 instead of the $35 I expected. I called down and was told this was because the FHR credits $5 for the "Free wifi" perk.

I do not know about the $18.99 mentioned in the wiki.

As others have said - yes (at Palazzo), and there should actually be a small Amex FHR sign on a stand in front of the desk. Note that at off-hours the VIP check-in may not even be open.

Fhr palazzo beware

Just stayed 2 nights.

But upon check in they advised that I was upgraded to a larger 1k suite, which is great, but I needed 2q.

I had had originally booked 2q. I know they were trying to be nice, but this past weekend they were at near capacity, and it took them 15 min to find me a room.. not cool when you are trying to get a couple hours pool time before dinner.

Anyways. Other than that hiccup. Good stay.

And they specifically said next time use VIP check in.
used 100 spa credit and both days ate at grand lux for bfast...
