Any suggestions how to utilize this benefit? I need to spend $166. I'm not planning to fly HA in a near future. Any other ideas besides gift cards, like purchasing a ticket and then cancelling it? Upgrade fees, etc?

Anyone know if purchasing Extra Comfort upgrades will count towards the airline credit?
Edit: Went ahead with the Extra Comfort upgrades online. Credit posted a few days later on Plat.

Can anyone confirm that food and beverage purchases while on the plane are reimbursed?
Mahalo!
Edit: I'm happy to confirm that these items are reimbursed.

Paid two award fees of $51.xx each, nothing after 2 days on Gold. The unsettling part is it actually says award fees and displays the entire thing as a flight ticket when the charge posted to Amex. Over at Chase the same transaction just shows as a generic HA charge. I'm sweating bullets...
