I went back in and "tested" the day for mileage redemption and see alternative BA flight (ORD/LHR) for saver rate of 57.5 so I guess I could rebook and apply SWU.

Any datapoints on using SWU for DFW-LHR? I was originally on the early flight (777-300) but moved to the later flight (787-9). Fewer J seats but I’d much rather have a 21:00 departure vs 16:00. Flight is in early February

Sun PM DFW-LGA, cleared for 2 at T-26 at J3 (!), three cleared off waitlist despite J0, 20ish person waitlist EXP ~270k LPs. Surprised that was enough for #1 on DFW-LGA, might be because of MLK holiday |
Book now and still receive status perks
Hi all,
I’m in a predicament, my status will expire in March (I’m a platinum member). Will I still receive the perks on a flight I have planned in April, if I book the flight now before my status expires? (I was hoping I would be on the upgrade list too but that’s a long shot lol) Or will I not be able to choose a seat when I’ve made the booking? has anyone been in this situation before? Many thanks in advance! |
GIG/GRU clearing
Hi all, I'm looking at flights from GIG or GRU on AA for the 19th of April. All flights to all US cities are showing zero SWU space. Any thoughts on where I'll have the best chance of clearing two people? Looks like there are lots of GRU to US flights on AA, but only one GIG (which is my preference, but I'm willing to fly to GRU to clear the upgrade). Thanks!

There were 8 open F seats today Mia-IAH that the gate agent cleared T-5. Boy AA really trying to sell those F seats! There were 8 available seats 10 days ago so it’s not just like these seats opened up today. Thankfully I was #3 on the list.

Last Saturday PHX/PSP CR7 upgrades were selling for over $400. Number one on a list of 15, no one cleared. Last night PHX/MIA 321neo, 2 cleared at the gate. P
