- Saturday before Thanksgiving, cleared 2 seats on an evening departure CLT-DFW at about T-24 - Sun before Thanksgiving, didn’t clear DFW-PVR. About 7 and 8, don’t think anyone cleared - Fi after Thanksgiving, #3 and 4 for PVR-CLT didn’t clear (one other person cleared at the gate. ) cleared DFW-CLT at about T-24 |

12/16 BNE-DFW: waitlisted miles & copay from discount Y, #2 & 3 on the list w/ J0 & W0 & Y0 in Expert Flyer as we headed to the airport. Cleared automatically @ T-1. Outbound 11/30 DFW-BNE was J0, did not clear but received complimentary gate upgrade to W after asking the agent around T-1. |
12/17 JFK-DCA cleared at T-100 hours.
12/16 MIA-DCA cleared at T-28 hours. |
LGA - DFW Upgraded at T-26, upgrades were selling for $180 and $230 three and two days prior.

12/25, as Platinum
ONT-DFW cleared at T-26. This flight ended up almost empty in Y due to a delay that I think was a product of the 12/24 ground stop. I don't think there were many more people in Y than in F. It was the emptiest AA flight I'd seen in years. DFW-DSM cleared at T-48. |
12/25 ORD-DFW - cleared before I even booked the flight, was upgraded while it was on hold (sub-24 hours to departure). First time that's happened!

Have too many to post at the moment but generally have been JFK-LAX, LAX-JFK, PHL-SAN,PHL-DFW-ONT,PHL-PHX-ONT,ONT-DFW-LGA,SAN-CLT-PHL all cleared upgrades.
In the last 3 months I'm 22/23 on the upgrades with the only outlier being a last second flight I had to book PHL-SAN 4 hours prior to departure, where I was 1 of 27 with 0 seats available. Did not clear. But did get 8C. Was ashame too because I had a JFK-LAX upgrade that day that had to be cancelled (late meeting) otherwise I'd be a perfect 22/22. 400K Rolling LP. Only real interesting data point I can add is I had a flight clear at T-48 (that was like J4) instead of the usual T27-T24 ish timeframe. |
