What are the best F seats? I usually like the last row so I can recline most of the flight, but seems like with no divider between economy and row 4 that row 1 may be better?

All the seats have the same minimal amount of recline. I'd probably go for something in the 2-4 range.

I don't really like the bulkhead personally and row 5 is just too close to Y with no proper divider.

I've also avoided row 5 under the assumption that if the plane gets swapped to a 16F version with only 4 rows, that I'd end up getting reassigned to some random seat that I might not otherwise want.

I've booked row 5 on the neo for redeyes several times before (because there is no 16F neo, otherwise I follow econ 's logic for daytime flights) - if anyone at the window in row 2-5 gets up, they typically end up using the seat in front to do so (or bumping into it anyways) given the abysmal legroom. However, even though the divider isn't a wall like on the LAA 321s, the divider prevents the person in row 8 from bumping into the seat. This isn't as much of an issue on the 16F versions / flights where I'm not trying to sleep, where I prefer to be further forward.

Thanks my SO really wanted the bulkhead so I guess Im about to find out how comfortable or not row 1 is after the oasis 2.0 revisions. v1.0 was horrible so hopefully the extra 3" of legroom helps.

I didn’t realize there was a 1.0 and 2.0 version on the 321, thought that was only the 737. If that’s the case then maybe there is something better about the bulkhead.

i saw F bulkhead on refurbished LUS321 last week and legroom looked really bad! I don’t mind bulkhead on 737 but I would actively avoid first row on 321 especially EF side since there is no cut out in the bulkhead and no knee/leg room

The US A321s had exactly two decent seats, 10A and 10C. Other than those, I’m not sure how anyone ever flew on those slAAveships.

Ah man maybe that’s right. It’s supposed to get done but not yet, well this might be an uncomfortable flight.

Row 1 on the AC side has a small cutout, which is nice. No USB power in row 1 but all the other rows have it. Seems like a really stupid decision but hey this is AA after all.

I believe the power is under the center armrest flap in the laptop storage gap.

Yup. AC but no USB. Flight attendants said they get a lot of complaints about it.

Which non-first class seat has the most legroom now? For context, I originally booked 23F (exit row, no seat in front, essentially unlimited legroom) on the older seat layout, but upon re-checking my booking it looks like the flight was switched to the retrofitted aircraft. So looking for the seat closest to the 23/25 A/F in terms of legroom, as this is a transcon and with my long legs, a "regular" MCE seat can still be rough for me. Any difference between 11 A/C/D/F etc (and likewise for 24)?

24DEF has underseat storage whereas 24ABC does not and you face the FA jumpseat.
