A321 new seating version?

Hello All:

I travel mostly same routes east to west coast and am accustomed to A321 seating (traditional and newer neo), however have never encountered this version. Isn't documented at SeatGuru either.

Has 5 rows 1st class
Rows 8-10 MCE
Row 11 exit row
Row 24 exit row
Looks like 1st class is same as neo version. Exit rows are different than those previously described at SG etc.

(sorry, new guy here and it wont let me post pic).

Any insight into MCE and Coach seat advice particularly for the new exit row layout (narrow seats, fuselage issue for windows, etc)?

Thanks for assistance

That’s the Oasis/Kodiak version.

As @djokinson said above, this is the new version of the a321 configuration. Eventually this is expected to be the standard.

Thanks for the help.

What is odd is that my AA provided seatmap shows 3 seats across on both sides of the aisle - and in all rows of the MCE/Coach aircraft front to back. For instance, all of the posted schematics in the recommended thread show no 11F seat, however, I am able to select it if I want. What's up with that? Still likely Oasis/Kodiak version (with general sentiment that 8A is the seat to grab in coach)?

Thanks again.

I’ve never ended up flying in the back on one of these, but on every other version of the A321, the seats in the rows with only two seats have been noticeably narrower than the other seats.

If the aircraft is not an A321neo and has 5 rows of Domestic First Class, it's certainly an A321ceo configured with the new Oasis/Kodiak seats.
I have a booking on the A321ceo with the Oasis/Kodiak configuration and on AA.com, 11F appears as a MCE emergency exit row seat.

Very helpful!
Thanks. Looks like I’ll have to get used to this layout. Will board early and get a quick lay of the land for future reference.

AA doesn't even have this configuration on the Planes pages. LAA/LUS, Neo, and 321T, but no not-Neo Oasis. The info there is not very useful anyway without seat maps.

There is no seat 10F because, there is a reverse facing jump seat there for the crew.
Some other airlines around the world, also have a jump seat installed at the same exact location on their A321's.

I just flew LAS-CLT on an A321 with this new Oasis layout too. I was in seat 9F and was happy with that choice -- the legroom was comfortable for an MCE seat.

I don't think being in row 8 is going to be really much better than row 9. Despite how it looks in the seat map, there isn't a bulkhead between MCE and first -- just a partial wall from the ceiling to the top of the seats. That does mean passengers in row 8 will have some under-seat storage in front of them, but also those row 5 seats will recline into your space.

The new larger bins are definitely a win. It felt really strange to be on a full flight and still see lots of empty bin space when the FAs were closing up for departure.

What is row 1 legroom like on the neo? Can you extend your legs a decent amount or does the bulkhead feel cramped?

Flying on an Oasis’d LAA 321 for the first time. It’s fine overall but as an FYI seats 24A And 24F now exist.

Thank you for posting this. I am flying on an A321 from DFW/FLL on flt 1390. It's been a while since I have been on the A321, and the seat map looks different to me. I looked at seatguru, and they don't have a seat map that matches what I am seeing on AA.com for this plane. Specifically, row 24 used to have 2 seats on each side, and then 25 A and F had lots of leg room. That's not the case anymore. Instead of 2 seats on each side, row 24 how has 3 seats on each side like all of the other rows according to the seat map on AA.com.

After reading your post, maybe this is the Oasis version?

Check out the seat maps made by Prospero which can be found here: https://www.aerolopa.com/aa-airbus-a321-intro

You should be able to find the one you're on in that list.
