Yes, but before I make changes, I'd like to know if I'e read the (revised) rules correctly. AA does not always say what they mean or mean what they say.
So, as I asked in my post, have I read the (revised) rules correctly?--and even then, have the "moat dragons" been informed?

Further comment: One of the perks of Flagship c/I gets you preferential access to TSA pre-check (going to the head of the line), will AA have enough agents available to lead you to the front?
[I was in LAS VEGAS recently, they have (in addition to TSA pre-check) CLEAR; the CLEAR terminals are a few feet from P-C; a CLEAR (enrolled) pax, scanned finger and bp, the CLEAR agent opened the rope, told P-C agent pax was in CLEAR (had terminal p/o), that pax went right to luggage scan, he did NOT have to show P_C agent his bp and ID.^

Just a note from JFK yesterday as an EP flying international on AA. Had to argue a bit to use the FCI - the agent tried telling me I wasn't on the list and that one had to be flying in international first to use the facilities. After going back and forth a bit, when she saw that all I wanted was to use it for faster access to security (which turned out to have no line anyway...), they let me through...

This just proves what I said up-thread - they had a hard enough time getting access right when it was more simple, now they have even more scenarios to think about. AA needs to make sure that these people are retrained and supported by the correct "list" ASAP.

One would think that on the first day of a new policy, they would have the new rules fresh in their minds. But that would assume AA takes the time to properly communicate changes to their frontline agents prior to making it public.

In any case, the number of people eligible under the new policy is pretty large, so if they haven't gotten the memo yet they're going to learn pretty quickly that things have changed.

I asked if she was sure, then she asked for my last name. She entered something into a handheld device and told me no, to check at the first class check in lane.

After reading the wiki and other posts, it seems like I should have been able to check in there. Think I'll write a short E-mail to AA to complain.
I wrote to AA and they promptly responded, which included:
You should've been granted access because you are AA Executive Platinum and first class international customer.
They also deposited 7.5K miles into my account as a gesture of goodwill. I didn't do this for the miles but rather, in hopes that if enough people complain to AA, they will realize how poorly informed the entrance dragons are about who should be permitted access.

It would take just minutes for any of us to put together a matrix with access scenarios, you'd think AA would do the same. But I fear not.

Quick question about access to Flagship Check-in at JFK. I am BA Gold / OneWorld Emerald, and will be travelling in domestic First on AA to Miami.

I think that means I will be allowed to use Flagship Check-in. But...will I be able to guest my colleague? No OneWorld status, but also travelling domestic First to Miami.

I think the answer is no, which is annoying...any chance of leeway on this or is it strictly enforced? Seems silly I can't guest him through check-in & security, when I will be able to guest him into the Flagship Lounge the other side...

I don't know the exact rule, but from experience, me and my partner are both gold and the lounge agents at LAX and JFK, have from time to time, say don't worry I only need one card, if they cant see the BA exec number on the ticket.
I would certainly try in your case. Good luck - I like the new lounge.

I think if you are on the same pnr then you go through together. I've always had my companion on the same pnr with me wherever, even with her no status. But that's with AA exp, not completely sure about owe

thanks - won't be on same PNRs I don't think - travelling together for the US itinerary, but separately for the TATL part

I guess it's just worth a try to ask (which won't be unfair seeing as for the equivalent service at my home airport LHR (First Wing) I would be allowed a guest) - so worst that happens is I ask and they say no

If we get kicked off to the "regular" lines - is there any fast-track at all at T8 for domestic First? Or is it only Flagship First that gets fast track security at T8 and everyone else in the regular line?

You can ask and that's what I did a few months ago (companion was eligible, I was not)

But the TSA escort can only take one at a time (not even sure if you'll get one as a few days ago there was no escort thru TSA at all...)

I have an upcoming international to domestic transfer at JFK, all AA flights, and our onward flight is in F to SFO.

Once we clear customs, should we proceed directly to flagship check-in, or is there a more expedited route for transfer pax?

Flagship check-in will be the fastest route.

I attempted this today, just to try it out, with a routing of JFK/DFW/LAX/HKG all in 1st (and EXP) and was sort of rebuffed -- suggested since I wasn't checking bags to just use a kiosk or someone help me at the main area...

If LAX-HKG was on AA, 100% you can use Flagship Check-in.

AA INTL First...
"You can use Flagship® First Check-In if you’re flying on American in Flagship® First on a qualifying international or transcontinental flight."

AA EXP on any INTL AA Flight (to Asia/Europe/etc)
"You can use Flagship® First Check-In if you’re flying on qualifying international flights operated by American (regardless of cabin)."

If on a partner in First, you can no longer use Flagship Check-in.
