Do you wish AA would leave ORD?

(The similar situation PIT strikes me as something that could come into play during their HQ2 selection process...)

Doesn't look like its going to happen. The Mayor of Chicago and AA cut a deal.

Assuming the mayor's plans bring ORD into a current century, then no.
I hate connecting at ORD, but that isn't AA's fault. It's just a much less desirable airport compared to DFW in just about every way. In fact, I can't think of 1 advantage ORD has over DFW (not counting flight availability to specific destinations).

As a Chicago flyer I'd be bummed if AA downsized. Between United and AA I can fly pretty much anywhere, anytime of the day, non-stop. I tend to plan my trips pretty far out (90% leisure) and can always get a decent fare or something at saver levels with miles. AA drastically reducing their presence would not be good for Chicago flyers. I live on the North side and SW isn't an option most of the time so they wouldn't be much of an alternative.

Not at all, I like being able to fly to ORD via AA. I do think they need a hub in PNW or Rockies region, since they are missing something out there. Maybe Portland now that AS is not paying as much attention out there. Big hole in AA's network imo.

I think AA should open a new hub in LIT to go with the new hubs in PDX and SEA, once they withdraw from ORD, and then buy A380s to start hourly SEA/PDX/LIT-NRT shuttle service. They can convert the entire upper cabin to multiple EY-style cabins with showers, full beds, couches. Then have 12 across Y in the lower cabin with 28" pitch.
