Boy, I got lucky. 136 is my usual favorite flight but because of some unusual circumstances in London I booked 106 in J -- some times it's better to be lucky than smart

Ugh - I just got Award Wallet alerts that my Jan flights had seats changed to 25A. Thought someone was messing with me until I went in and saw the swap.

Going to make upgrades that much tougher on 108/109 I would assume. Also curious as to where they will swap this bird too. Was on 72/73 last week and J (nor Y) were full on either legs. Whereas my LHR flights almost always are at least in J.

One more data point - I am on 135/136 in late April and still 77w. Will need to put equipment swap alerts on those needless to say!

I've just been double-dinged for flights in late December/early January. The 77W flights on the same days have my inventory available, so I'll be calling later today to ask to be changed to the 77W flights; will post the outcome here.

I'm doing these flights all the time. Is the latest flight the one that goes to 777200?

Sooooo, fair to say you and AA have patched it up as it were?

Yes. I like the food improvements and love the new FF program.

As a point of reference, if your flight is not in the immediate future, you may want to hold off on making the change. I booked 38/39 MIA-LHR RT in October early this year with a mileage upgrade to J on both legs (plenty of C when I booked). Found out a few months ago they swapped both to 772. I immediately changed to 56/57 which was 77W. Well, a month later, 38/39 was back to 77W and 56/57 were back to 772s. Had to call and switch back. With each switch, I had to argue to reinstate the upgrades as there was no C inventory at the time of the switch. Lesson learned. Should have waited and done nothing since it was so far out. YMMV.

Yes.

My employer pays for business class and often the fares are around 10k. I'm racking up an ungodly amount of miles.. The way I see it, each trip I take nets a 1 way award in JAL first.

I've been treated much better lately as well.

The new FF program doesn't make sense for other consumers, given BAEC, but I'm really liking the new AAdvantage.

So where's the 77W that's being pulled off this route going? You'd think AA would want their best product here.

So we've been bopped to the 772 there and back for Thanksgiving. we were 2 in First (Z) and 2 booked in coach with SWUs to C.

Have not gotten miles back yet.

Should I just leave it alone and hope they move back, holding our Z inventory?
