I miss being ale to upgrade myself inside 24 hours whenever an F seat opened up, no matter how far down the upgrade list I was.

Things you miss about US Airways

Instant ticketing (v "pending" for hours/ days/ weeks)

Clear 24 hour refund policy (v Hold which isn't always available, and having to fight for 24 hour refund)

Ease of booking multi-city itineraries

Competent web services team

AA had a top notch web services team until the current management chose to outsource it to what appears to be a Filipino call center. Wonder if they got the idea from Barclays?

4 checked bags x 70lbs each if you're in J/F *and* Chairman Preferred or EXP.

The general unabashed cheapness of US. We're a legacy airline that looks and feels like a ULCC, now deal with it.

Having agents who could quickly add you to the sb list. Now it takes pmUS agents 30 minutes and most still can't do it...

Free exit row seating 24 hours beforehand. Now AA charges you an arm and a leg.

^^^ I do like being able to upgrade on AA metal to Asia, and oneworld emerald status is nice, but I miss Star. Travel throughout Europe and Asia was much more convenient and accessible.

That's still the case. Just flew with 4 checked bags - F ticket, EXP - all free, all the way to Europe.

Whaaaaaaaa? Is this only on LUS flights or any AA flight? AA's site says only 3 bags for EXP whereas the old US site said 4.

It can happen on AA as well, therefore this is not a US unique thing, but rather more of a one off type item that depends on the agent.

I prefer the boarding passes printed out by the agents and in general having agents available to print out the boarding passes vs. the self-service LUS style of check-in.

I leave the heavier stock boarding pass in my jacket pocket which makes it easier for the FA and me to identify my jacket when they return it to me after the flight.
