Or do the first 3400 still expire on 12/31/2015, and the "new" points expire at some later date? (I earned all of my points in one quarter...)

Each point has its own expiration date, and the earning of new points do not renewal expiration on the old point balance.

Your first 3400 points will still expire end of 2015, regardless of how many new points you earn since.

Great, thanks so much!

What is the smarter redemption:

4000 Biz Extra Points (2 BX1A awards) or 50K AA miles?

LAX-ORD-YOW

Any help is appreciated.

Always points first, then miles as the miles have greater value.

Biz ExtrAA points expire. "Use 'em or lose 'em". AA miles never expire (as long as you have activity). SO, it's smarter to use Biz Extraa points before they expire.

New Monthly Account Statements

Looks like BE is did a soft (or premature) rollout of a new monthly format for accounts/flights/points that should make things easier to track than the current quarterly summary format. Even had data back 2 years.

However, while I could access it on Saturday. I can't today.

Previously, I was able access the new format as follows:
1) Login
2) In the "Hello" box, click My Account
3) Click the Account Summary tab

The other way to access the old format is:
1) Log in
2) Click My Account menu
3) Select Account Summary

Anyone else spot it?

I thought I read someone say they could end up extending an award by purchasing a less expensive award and then later using non expired points to purchase a more expensive award and they could then in affect get another year. But I can't find that post now. Is this possible?

Also what is the number to call to talk to someone at Business Extra. Can't seem to find that anywhere either, only email contact.

Thanks for info on BE sign up. I have an BE account. But I am wondering if wife can sign up to get credit for flights we purchased and are flying in January 2013. Am seeing conflicting reports of whether we can get the points for flights purchases before we sign up. Can someone please elaborate on this, so I would know to have wife sign up and assign flights to her # or if I should assign them to mine?

edit:
FYI, called BE from phone number on email. They told me that flights count toward BE as long as the person joins before the flight, that they don't need to join prior to purchasing the flight. On a separate matter they told me that I could buy a cheaper redemption now and then turn that in for a higher redemption later, i.e. domestic now and when I get more points trade it in for an international redemption for example.

Hey I think I found those points people say have gone missing.

I thought the points in my account were from flights I have scheduled, but looking at it further. Someone else has been putting points into my account! Its been going on for a while. I see flight history going back to 1Q12 and continuing into flights 3Q13. Looks like someone flying around to BOG, MIA, PUG, CUN.

I was thinking of booking an award ticket with the miles and see if I can use it sometime next year. But LOL, maybe these are drug runs?! More likely someone is keying in the wrong #. Its only 2500 pts over 2 years.

It's the Meeting Services number. I think it's 1-800-433-1790.

There's also a BE customer service number listed here:

Business Extra Redemption Question

Hello all,

I have a question. I recently redeemed a BXP1 upgrade award and I didn't receive a confirmation email. Should I expect one/call meeting services to confirm that everything went through?

Thanks again!

You should call if you want to make sure, or you could wait and hope it shows up in the mail

Can an ExecPlat use the extra Saver award availability for a BusinessExtra economy award booking when no regular Saver seats are available? I know I must book through a BE agent.

Tried recently to use one to upgrade LIH-LAX
HAD PREPARED IN ADVANCE OF TRAVEL TO LIH by having our Fed Ex acct number with me
But Bus Extraa refused to send it to us at a hotel
Said it could only be sent to our address of record
Anyone know a workaround?
They won't do it by email?
