Just curious if anyone else ever cut it so close?
The challenge is 3 months, not 90 days....
If you started on October 1, it would end on December 31.
If you started on October 16, it would end on January 15.

What day did you start?
What day was your qualifying flight?

It was exactly as per your example. Started 16 October, ended 15 January. Qualifying flight was on 15 January.

Not even close.

I completed mine in less than a week flying 4 segs and 12,130 miles/EQPs.

I was mainly trying to correct the statement about "90 days" for the sake of accuracy.

Then we can all ask "WHAT has John Done?" Welcome to AAirside, John.

Now, the posts will join the master thread (and eventually the trailing thread.)

I think thats the other side of what I asked. You did yours in a week, with 2130 to spare. I took until the very last day with only 53 to spare.

And i do not recommend that, by the way.

Yes, thanks. I have seen both 90 days and 3 months mentioned and it is as you said, 3 months.

If it hasn't posted to your yet, then call and sign up for either the 1st or 15th of the month (whichever was before your flight).

Otherwise, no

Actually, it may be included if the flight hasn't posted yet. If the flight has posted, then that's correct. It cannot be included.

Somewhat longer, and more correct, answer.

Cheers.

This answer is, of course, included in the thread on challenges, along with a lot of other information. I would advise anyone thinking about doing a challenge to read and understand that entire thread before starting a challenge. There are too many opportunities to fail to complete the challenge if you don't understand the rules.

Call AA to ask whether your scenario will work, and, failing to get the answer you want to hear, politely hang up and call back again. (That's the FT Mantra, BTW)

If you don't call and ask, you have no chance of earlier posted flights being included in your challenge. Give it a try, and welcome to FlyerTalk!

And yet... an even more correct answer would have advised to sign up, assuming the flight has not yet posted, on either the 1st or the 16th (whichever was before the flight).
