No it wasn't only given out up front, consider you were seated at the 3rd row to the last of Y class, of course you are not getting any, just the same as Buy on Board, would you still be getting any snacks for purchase so far back of the plane when the flight is 100% full ? I don't think so, same logic.

Bottom line, the color coin wasn't meant for all the pax on the entire plane, but they certainly had brought a lot more than just for the pax up front.

Let's get real, the UA (sCO not sUA) seats are NOT comfortable at all especially on their 787 ! The padding are so hard and no back support at all, it makes you have back pain and your butts hurt just for sitting for a few hours, there are tons of FTers on the UA board with numerous threads complaining about those PMCO style Y seats ! You should have seen enough of it.

Just the same as when I flew in from ORD on UAX's new E175 in Y from Skywest, those new slim line seats are absolutely worst, I felt like I was sitting in a piece of wood ! The older E170 that PMUA ordered for UAX Shuttle America are much better !

AA however is a pleasant surprise to me with those seats in Y for the 787, don't feel cramp at all, I felt like it is 32" of legroom instead of 31", I don't feel narrow neither, especially comparing to the sUA 747 in E (not E+) which has similar seat dimension to the 787 in Y. The seat itself is cushioned, similar to the sUA Y seats.

Because those were handed out on the inaugural flight AA2320 DFW-ORD only, AA2324 DFW-ORD wasn't the inaugural flight, the bag you got were just the leftover bag.

Darn, had I know about this I would've showed up rather than going straight to the hotel.

That's what I get for not catching up on the thread prior to the flight.

Darn, I forgot to have the captains sign my boarding pass..

The crew and pilots rest were interesting but nothing "out of the ordinary" (at least to me).

Hi Andy, it was great meeting and chatting with you on the inaugural flight. Actually when I tried your 19A seat, it wasn't too bad in the reclining position but I still preferred my 19C over yours.

Also, I was able to get the LAST standby seat on the return leg.....I was in 8B. ^

Great photos SFO777. ^ I didn't know which seat you were in otherwise I would've introduced myself as well.

Maybe on the A350XWB inaugural?

I was in 19B and had asked the captain for one who was kind enough to go back to the cockpit and grab one for me.

Also anyone know why 2320 was delay an hour today out of DFW??
I was on the flight. There was some kind of mechanical issue. We had to go back to the gate to have it fixed. No details as to what but I was going to file a complaint online.

Was lucky enough to get the second-to-last colored coin on the flight back to DFW.

Couple of comments:

What's with the baby seat restraint you have to wear for take off and landing?! It's a little too much.

Every J seat is like a bulkhead as you have ZERO storage at your seat.

The plane isn't that quiet.

AA FAs still suck so it's a bad flying experience.

I'm sorry but that's just wrong. Many of us commented how the headphones given out in the "swag bags" were perfectly good at cruise and that noise canceling headphones could almost become unnecessary.

Now, you're not going to hear a pin drop but the cabin noise is noticeably quieter at cruise than any other plane in the AA fleet.

I'd comment on the rest of your negatives, but to me it looks like you're just trying to complain about something but don't have anything substantive.

Every J seat is like a bulkhead as you have ZERO storage at your seat.

The plane isn't that quiet.

AA FAs still suck so it's a bad flying experience.
I found the flight attendants to be outstanding on this flight, possibly the friendliest I've experienced in a long time. I had a great interaction with every single American employee in DFW and ORD, very impressed.

Now, you're not going to hear a pin drop but the cabin noise is noticeably quieter at cruise than any other plane in the AA fleet.

Ummmm I flew on a day where where there were no Bose headsets so our experiences are not similar.

Try getting stuck with them on a diversion to Tulsa and missing your flight to Hawaii......no water in Tulsa (meaning they were too lazy to offer water on our 45 min refueling stop which was ridiculous in the first place).....practically begging for something to drink in the 1 hour flight from TUL-DFW...pathetic all around.

Were you diverted to TUL today?

I didn't have Bose headsets either, which was fine with how quiet the flight was. That was the point I was trying to make. The plane is so quiet it makes the Bose headsets unnecessary.

The flight from Tulsa to Dallas is extremely short and with how bad the weather in the area was today, I'm surprised the FAs were even allowed to leave their jump seats. I think the wheels up to wheels down time is no more than 45 minutes. Most airlines will not do a service on a leg that short. I've seen multiple reports of moderate turbulence in the north Texas area on most flight levels today.

I think you should be happy you made it from point A to B safely with what amounts to a very minimal delay. Or would you have preferred to have flown through a potentially tornadic thunderstorm?

I bet you're one of those people that'll say, "I'm going to fly United now!." Trust me, they'll divert due to thunderstorms too. Safety is most important.

Again, it looks like you're looking for something to complain about and that's fine. I'm sure I'd be peeved too if I missed my flight to Hawaii, but I'm sure you'll be getting there and enjoying your vacation soon enough.

Hope the rest of your travels are less eventful and safe.

In the Flickr album, do you recall the seat row and # where you took pictures of the lie-flats? I am guessing it was the mini-cabin (rows 6 and 7).

It was my seat, 6L. Ralf83 'borrowed' it while I was socializing. I'm glad someone got some use out of it as I didn't even play with the controls (I probably should have booked a Y seat since I was standing most of the flight).

Missed out on that too! I think the captain had already passed my seat by the time I boarded.

I was on AA 2334 ORD-DFW 787 flight which was diverted to TUL for refueling on Saturday. I did not think crews were terrible.

It looked like that there were weather situations up north around Chicago also, not just Oklahoma and Texas area, where the flight did make few turns to fly around the weather. What it looked like was that AA 2334 still did have fuel to make it to DFW. However, the regulation is that the aircraft have to have enough fuel to circle around DFW and fly to alternate airport. I think the aircraft ran out of extra fuel for circle around DFW and to alternate airport. Hence, had to fly into TUL to get more fuel.

It was unfortunate situation, but there were weather everywhere not just Dallas area on Saturday. Sorry that you missed your flight to HNL, likely forced overnight at DFW. It really is not the way anybody wants to start the trip to Hawaii. I will not be in good mood if I were in your situation. But I did not think crew did terrible job, and the impression of passenger around me did not indicate that they felt crew did terrible job.

My take is that at TUL we were parked in the middle of tarmac, not at a gate. It could be that we were in the same situation as being on an active taxiway? If such then there may be a regulations that crews have to have galley all secured, not allowed to open carts.
