Hopefully they don't end non stop ORD-TPA...my most traveled route! Though I don't mind going throught MIA. Still upset they just ended the daily ORD-MIA on the 763 that was great a great flight in F

Yes. Or at least they used to.

I just looked and JFK-TPA non-stops are in the schedule thru 331 days (system date range). What makes you think they are discontinuing service? Maybe you got moved to a connection due to a schedule change and the system is just trying to protect your international connection at JFK?

TPA Airport wiki shows service ending in May.

Why would you fly jetBlue (or an Eagle CRJ7) to JFK when you could fly a very short AA flight (on a 737, no less) to MIA to fly to London?

Exactly. I fly that route often. Very nice having a short flight on a mainline jet, at least 5x daily!

Unhappy

BA does fly nonstop to LGW daily. But you can't upgrade to BC unless you purchase a full fare premium economy ticket. And upgrades out of MIA have been hit or miss. There are enough flights out of JFK that using SWUs are the best chance of upgrading, at least in my experience. Plus it is nice having the Flagship Lounge at JFK. No FL in Miami.

Bummer, I used this route a lot for O&D traffic. But I think I was the only one...everyone else was connecting I think!

It appears MCO-JFK is still intact for the time being, if you feel like driving all the way to MCO.

There should be a good amount of traffic to MCO since they operate two 763s vs CRJ to TPA

Hi Seawolf, they def do not operate 763s on the MCO to JFK route. They are 757s, sometimes with the 16 F/J seats and more often the regular domestic 24F seats.

Maybe you're thinking about JFK-MIA with the 763s?

They did during March. 763s are in the current pdf timetable between JFK and MCO.

I stand corrected! I do see it in EF.

They're just not being used for any of my dates.

Seems to me like a (small) favorable sign for the maintenance of the (US) PHL hub.

For what it's worth I have used MCO vs TPA for Tampa trips due to a reasonable cost difference out of PHL a number of times. The drive is about 75 min depending where in Tampa you are but for a non stop and larger plane it is not a deal breaker.
