Was there even a live unveil event? Local media in Dallas had a story, but basically showed clips from the video AA made. No actual video from the airport of an actual airplane.
only a computer generated 77W. Which looks great.

I think I need time to understand if I like it or not... First impression tends to prefer the old one, but I always need time to get used to changes. At first I didn't like London 2012 logo, but then I realized I loved it!

Anyway the new aadvantage cards are amazing

I heard one instance of the M-word as well.
However, I don't get it.
Why would you spend what probably is an insane budget on rebranding if you're going to merge.

Or it could mean that US airways agreed to the new name and livery?

On the whole, it doesn't look bad IMHO. Having said that, I was really hoping for a little better and the retention of the eagle.

I guess this is the card for the entry level

Does that mean new joiners get a card as well?

I need to see it for realz on an actual airplane.

Video of it on the news would be good, but in person with my own two eyes would be better.

If there is a merger, I would think Dougie would undo it all. Put his own spin on it. Probably take the current US livery and simply replace the name with AMERICAN and keep the rest as is.

I got US Postal Service, actually, when I first saw it, but I can see Greyhound, too

Where did you see those? I see "a new look for loyalty" image on the homepage. (it looks more like a luggage tag). However if I click on that image it brings me to the standard aadvantage homepage and on that page nothing is rebranded yet.

The logo rips off Mexicana (RIP) and Air France, while disconnecting with AA's long and proud heritage. Hardly innovative.

Plus it's a backwards flag, symbolizing the way management has kept the airline in a vertical nosedive for the last 20 years.

Ugh, that tail is just awful. It would be simply jejune if it were not so hideous.

The rollout of our new look will take time. We hope to have these available soon!
