Also not to make your bubble any smaller, but 21 is only served on JFK, LHR, FRA. LAX and all others get 17. Still not bad!

Well, that's a deal breaker!
IIRC, I pad 55k VS out of JFK a few years ago and LAX priced at 50k, but my memory could be faulty.

Agree 100%. Just changed my westbound RTW to an eastbound RTW. Now I have a 2-day stopover in HND before heading home. Additional advantages of NH106 over NH105 is getting to experience NH's 1st class lounge at HND pre-departure in lieu of what LAX offers, and ex-HND catering of Japanese meals (albeit limited in comparison to daytime flights).

The Suite lounges have improved in some ways (you can order on demand set meals for breakfast and lunch/dinner like eggs and sushi as of a few months ago in Haneda), but they’ve also taken away Dining H, their “restaurant” style service. Unfortunately I only ever take JFK - HND and that was never late enough to experience the Dining H service.

As much as I love ANA, I would have to agree here. The Polaris lounge is more luxurious (at least the last time I used it in SFO in 2019… I always fly out of JFK so I’m stuck with the BA lounge).

But coming back to LAX, other than the Qantas lounge at TBIT, is there a dedicated lounge for 1st class passengers for *A?

Yes there’s a *A first class lounge at LAX. It’s very small and when I was there 3 months ago I didn’t realise there was a ‘secret’ room, off to the side, often used my celebrities and VIP’s.
It was ok, not up to much. Ordered some food which the chef came and took the order for - it was good.
But generally, it doesn’t seem like they’re too busy there late at night, because they almost seemed surprised that I came through.
I think the business lounge has better views - either of the tarmac from outside, or the balcony : terrace inside

I got an email from ANA today saying that the room is being added to ORD-NRT, NRT-ORD, ORD-HND, HND-ORD, LAX-HND and HND-LAX for their winter schedule (starting 10/30/22?). They said JFK-HND and HND-JFK already have the room.
Right now, the ORD routes only get the room once every week or two.
Does anyone here know of any new tail numbers that now have the room? I know of 784, 785, 788 and 793-798, but ANA said there would be 12 aircraft with the room back in 2019.

Those nine tails are it for now. Additional tails will be added to the wiki if/when they get refurbished.

My ORD-NRT and NRT-ORD flights in November just had aircraft changes, but I’m in Premium Economy. (The PE seat numbers don’t change between the old and new configs.) At least I’ll get a bigger tv monitor!
I might try to buy a business upgrade at the gate. I’ve never done that before, and they might only allow it if PE is overbooked. I paid cash for my tix. I’m pretty sure you can’t upgrade award tickets.
It will be nice to see the room for the first time! All of my flights to date have been the old config.

They’ve taken them off some routes. Before the pandemic it was 1 x LHR, 1 x FRA, 2 x JFK daily. Now we have 1 x LHR, 1 x JFK, 1x LAX, 2 x ORD. Not that big of a difference. And maybe there’s one or two more refurbished?

Anyone heard of any new 77W aircraft routes in the USA for 2023?
It looks like the NH JFK-NRT flight has been removed completely, maybe they moved that new 77W Aircraft for NH 105 out of LAX.
