Sad news for folks doing layovers at PDX - I read that the Pok Pok outpost outside of security is closing. No more wings while you wait.

That is sad.

But they weren't cheap!

well I think we have beaten to death the DL issue! Now I just wish AS would get rid of their version of the "Ghetto Birds" the old 400's without wifi. And yes there are some 700's as well.

"PeeDX" LOL! I've been on AS flights filled with drunk fishermen from Dutch heading south when I *thought* something like that might happen ... but thankfully, it didn't.

The day of Flight Urination someone on Twitter quipped:

"One more reason to NOT fly JetBlue.
Next thing you know,
It might be poo."

Really? I thought all of the 400s and 700s had been retrofitted with wifi except for the combis? Yes, they don't have on-board power - but that's easily remedied with a small external battery I keep in my carry-on.

Which routes have you been on without wifi, edgewood49?

I'm perhaps the only person who does like the old 400s and 700s. IMO those F seats are so much more comfortable and the under-seat storage is far superior to the configuration on the 800s and 900s.

There's a decent amount of AA premium class availability during July 2016 from ZRH.

Combined with the fact that AS will give you transcon three-class F and there's decent award availability out of LAX, it seems like a decent ride from Europe for 50k miles...

I was just shy of 4K (around mile 30?)

Woke up at 3:30 AM to a tent partially collapsed due to wet snow accumulation.

let me assure you that you are NOT alone ... the 734s are great! (other than the fact that they only have 12 F seats, so I rode SEA-LAX in 7F last month ... newly minted MVP, #1 on the upgrade list when they closed the door)
