I feel that currently AS has really discounted F .
We carry 2 premium cards with high annual fees that include PP as a benefit. this is the only time we have used PP in the last 2 years. . Since , we paid for benefit of PP, why not use it now?
How about the passenger who goes to SEA N lounge with F boarding pass and then goes to restaurant and uses PP ?

While I appreciate the fiscal impact, I have no issues with the "No PP" sign.

Or very frequent flyers, like me, who see no use for an Alaska lounge membership when the bulk of my flights are transcons from SFO. Used PP twice at SFO this last weekend for restaurant meals and in the past have used it for Alaska lounges in ANC, SEA and LAX. I'm flying home from SEA on Friday and undecided, at this point, as to whether to do a lounge or restaurant visit. I average 20 PP visits in a normal year.

I was there today .... checked the PP app while we were on approach - and got on the list while about 100 miles out (near Palm Springs) at around 9:25 am. Landed and got a text clearing me into the lounge as I was deplaning. Was #11 on the list when I first signed up. Breakfast was available: oatmeal, pancakes, fruit, various breads, etc. Did not check out the Admiral's Club and am going to bet I made the right choice.

This is going to sound extremely elitist, but the people who tend to come in with PP also tend to be infrequent travelers who don't understand how things work, and generally gum up the works.

I don’t put much stock in PP being useful for AS lounge access for very long (perhaps at focus cities but not SEA) because of past experience. Something that is in effect free for too large of a number of people waters things down, so they’ll do restrictions again soon enough. Just like how AMEX yanked PP restaurant access..
People who get premium travel cards that include any lounge access are the exception, not the rule.

I can tell you them letting me as a PP holder into that new SEA lounge well may get me off the hump to pay for access if/when my PP card is no longer allowed. So, maybe there is a method to their madness. If the new one at PDX is even close I'm 99% sure I'll pay.

Did we skip the list? It seems that way. Were they PP members waiting and we were prioritized? I sure hope so, but who knows.

Was the waiting list ever for anyone else but PP? I've never been turned away as an AC member and now as an AL member, even when they are telling PP members to take a hike.

Yes, when D in SEA was the only thing open last year, it happened to me (paid F, I'm not a PP member).
