From what I've heard, this route is catered as a trans con which gets the menu, 3 courses, and warm nuts....I'll know for sure next month

You should do it. It was a pretty easy turn in DTW...same plane, didn't even have to leave the gate area on arrival. It was my first mileage run as well.

There is wifi but not necessarily power. On wife's and my first DTW turn, we were on a -900 that didn't have the juice. Being in F, though, the digeplayer kept us suitably occupied both ways.

Hope the content is updated for next F turn in October.

Trick or treat

I will not be in costume for my first ever mileage run on Oct 31. Here goes nothing... and solid for MVP next year.

There was on 9/27. According to http://www.alaskaair.com/content/tra...ravelInfo-wifi the only planes that don't have wifi are some of the 737-400s which I'm pretty sure can't fly that route.

It's available. But it seemed way more unusable than other flights I've been on. It was even tough web browsing and using work email.

Had a similar experience. Fllightaware for that day says we were nowhere near it.

I fly SEA->SFO and back most weeks, and the wifi is similarly bad. I guess I know what I will be getting!

Fwiw, I was on sea-dtw today and the upgrade list was probably 19 for 2 seats, I think. No power and wifi was passable, but definitely slow at times. Wish I had time to do four of them and make 75k.

Wifi was insanely slow on my 9/26 flight, and no juice either direction (9/28 return). I actually stayed in Detroit for a couple days with some nice weather. Unfortunately my double eqm aren't posting. Le sigh...

Boring

More seriously, I heard some people behind me talking about flying for mileage reason but didn't chat with anyone else. Maybe I don't look flyertalky enough? I don't have an FT hat or anything.

(New shirt idea: "Will fly for miles". Seems like it must have been done before)
