Ah, then I take it back. I thought it was different devices from the first description. Seems some info wasn’t loaded correctly on the backend.

One day a few months ago, it did not work for me on BOS-PDX. It was the last day before the pass expired. I tried again on PDX-BOS and it worked. Bizarre.

Not Atmos Summit, but I wasn't able to get a complimentary AS Wi-Fi pass to work when I chose one as a milestone award. AS' web portal wouldn't recognize the pass, which was supposed to be attached to my AS account. Seemed more than happy to take payment, though. Contacted Customer Care after the fact, and they apologized that I'd had problems but didn't reissue the pass. I won't choose it again (and don't recommend others do, if it's this inconsistent).

Really? That’s beyond cheap. More like Customer Don’t Care.

I've noticed that the passes don't work if you don't have your Alaska FF# in the reservation. My wife and I both have Summit Visas and the associated wifi passes. On several recent flights my wife had her AA FF# on the reservations whereas I had my AS FF# on mine. My wifi passes worked, hers did not. Has anyone figured out a work-around?

In my experience, the Intelsat reps will comp you if you let them know your pass isn't working while you are inflight.

Presumably because the passes are associated with your Atmos account, so if you enter your seat number, they won’t find your Atmos account.

I guess they don’t want you to “double dip” and use your Summit benefit while crediting to a partner airline. Sigh.

That must have been it. She had her AS number and I had used my Royal Jordanian to get Lounge access.

Great catch. Thank you.

It's not double dipping since you pay BofA a substantial annual fee for the credit card and there is nothing in the BofA agreement that says you have to use your Atmos number to get this benefit.

Yeah. AS, however, has this obsession with its members trying to gain any benefit from using status from one of their partners while flying on AS and crediting to AS (or vice versa). See the inability of using any loyalty number other than Atmos when redeeming Atmos miles for an award.

Given that WiFi is going free anyway, it’s bizarre that they are so restrictive here. Or should I say, cheap?

And it may not be in the T&C, but who are you going to argue with? Their T&C were written by last year’s summer interns…

Interns or AI slop?

BTW what happens with this benefit once there's free wifi? Maybe we'll get free water onboard?

I was able to use the benefit on a subsequent flight where my Atmos number was in the reservation so this must be a coded as necessary even though the T&Cs say nothing about it being a requirement.

Same here. I'm AA elite entering AA FF #. Husband uses Atmos - he gets wifi I do not. Have had luck though using his seat #.

It's just a function of how it works. It's tied to your AS MP# (or atmost #) versus just a code.

It's just poor T&C writing by AS and perhaps BofA (though they may not even understand how it works) that this isn't disclosed.

Complimentary Wi-Fi: The Primary Cardholder will receive 2 Alaska Airlines single flight Wi-Fi passes credited each calendar quarter for a total of 8 Wi-Fi passes per year (every 12 months from account open date). To qualify for Wi-Fi passes, the Primary Cardholder's account must be open with active charging privileges. Passes are valid through the end of the quarter in which they are issued. Quarterly allotments of passes will be credited to the Atmos™ Rewards Program account on the first day of each calendar quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1). Wi-Fi passes for a new account will be credited to the Primary Cardholder's Atmos™ Rewards Program account within 30 days of account opening or upgrade. All Wi-Fi passes are valid through the end of the quarter in which they are issued.

I will note that the Wifi voucher benefit is no longer (?) listed among the features of the card on these pages:

https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit...-credit-cards/

https://secure.bankofamerica.com/app...gle/#/prefill/

(the quote above is still in the T&C)
