Apparently little processing this morning.
mid con out of Seattle this morning. Offered the 500 upgrade all weekend. #1 and 2 on upgrade list both MM and 100K. Got to gate and upgrade button changes to 150. 10 minutes before boarding announces upgrades available for purchase at 150. 2 seats sold. Ouch. |

Please report this to AS. 🤙🏻🍹
i don’t use miles to travel foreign J flights. Usually just buy those. Alaska’s utility for me has been the schedule and now that the schedule to some Midwest cities is not convenient I can connect just as easily with delta. My priority is schedule and access to cities. Upgrades has been the tie breaker but if this is the new norm then I must adjust accordingly |
The elimination of U availability has created a huge disincentive to earn MVPG75k+. Those who do so with credit card spend should consider more lucrative returns.

why report it. Unfortunately they have the right to do this. I’ve got to make decisions going forward to use other carriers unfortunately...
As noted - there are other airline/alliance options, especially now that my travel is more TATL and EU than domestic. |

Disappearing from waitlist / Last on list as 100K
I'm now have repeated issues of being on the upgrade list, and on the day of the flight, I disappear from the list completely without getting upgraded, even though seats are available. When I tell Alaska staff that I disappeared from the list, they claim they can't get me back on the list.
I'm also having issues of being dead last on the list despite everyone else on the list being a lower status than I am, according to the gate agents. The gate agents told me to contact customer care since this is happening repeatedly. When I called customer care, I was told that they are "too busy to talk to me", and to send an online message instead. I sent a message, and when I finally heard back customer care 2 weeks later, and they told me to discuss this issue with the gate agents.....in other words, Alaska blew me off completely and won't do anything about this. This is totally unacceptable. Is anyone else noticing this issue? |

I don't know what happened but Alaska appears to have made a conscious decision that their most loyal customers don't' really matter anymore.

Can anyone provide a screen shot of the policy whereby at the gate the upgrade list is to be processed before F seats are sold.
Would be very handy to have this and show it to the gate agent when they show up an hour before departure time. |

AS policy at the gate is to process the UG WL prior to offering paid upgrades. The GAs didn’t follow policy.
