According to email sent from topbonus ("Program information: restart based on insolvency proceedings") insolvency proceedings are "expected to start at the beginning of November 2017".
Does that have any bearing on the time frame within which AB will continue to operate, or is that simply what court dates the process has been given?

Brussels approves Germany’s €150m Air Berlin loan

To minimise competitive harm, the loan installments will be paid only after the regulator is shown each week that “all existing liquidity has been used”. The loan is limited to a maximum of €150m and will need to be fully repaid within six months. If the money cannot be repaid, Germany will have to submit a winding-down plan to the EU competition officials for approval.

Which is why we see most of the longhaul routes being cut before then and any fares being sold on short haul are in the highest fare buckets ie not really attractive for fwd bookings. My guess is 31 October will be their last day flying.
