NZ Trout - answer is yes. If you are going to put out a special you are required to have a reasonable amount of the special available, as you will see from Brenrox, within hours of it coming out some places had nothing.
Other point is why other sites can do it for between $250 odd and $650 odd when NZ cannot. Realise this does not affect the majority of folks here, but I still ask why do they do it and why do they get away with it. The Comcom is not particularly helpful either, and like I said must be someone here from NZ who is willing to front up and explain. |

Off the top of my head, V is what the Tasman legs book into for longhaul Economy flights to/from Australia. |
Problem appears to be fixed now, as well as slightly lower prices. I tried CHC, IVC,ZQN & AKL to APW and 'deal' flights available were identical. I did want to be able to say that if the deal is available ex AKL, it is available from elsewhere in NZ.....But...wayoutwest, you might not want to try from HKK....I think they are just trying p*** you off now

You so right. The whole world is against us from the Coast. Too much time wasted driving to CHC so pefer to fly - but ******* Just looked at 4 April and $900 from HKK, $208 from CHC and $216 (full flexi) HKK to CHC. Oh well, NZ do now have someone looking at it but probably too late as this has been an ongoing problem for at least 13 months that I and NZ are aware of. |
Quick Question - "Your tier anniversary is coming up on Tue Mar 29 2011." - I rang Air NZ to ask to see if after that date i will get my 2 x Gold U/G vouchers, however they have told me that i won't until 1st May.
I said that is fine as i am only 54 SP off GE i will probably hit this in April/May, the CSR said to hit GE i must get 54 SP prior to the 29th of March. I asked the Question about SP Expiring this month, not allowing me to get it, and with the SP expiring i would probably then hit GE in MAY, the reply was your 'tier' works on the past 355 days at which point they review to see if you will make GE. So now i am just confused! can anyone shed some light on this (those who have ticked over from GE to GE or G to G (or a combo) |

Thanks, with the points expiring and other flights going through i will need 42 SP by the 4th of April and will hit GE in MAY regardless, i suppose it would be nice to hit GE earlier however since there is a limbo month.

Is that 355 day SP life correct? I took a domestic flight Mar 11 and back Mar 14 2010 and checking myairnz on Mar 11 & 14 2011, 12 SP had dropped off each time for those corresponding flights.
|
My points from FEB/MAR last year expire exactly 12 months after they were flown. I think end of March sounds about right when i hit Gold.

I have always had the understanding that the life of SPs was 365 days, and this was certainly the case when calculating when I was going to hit *G

Yea same with me, so not sure where the 355 has come from....
In any case the difference between 355 and 356 seems to be splitting hairs. If one day makes the difference in tier status, I'm sure NZ would bump a member up. |

Haven't changed anything. I also meant to mention that the PNR works for seat selection etc on the main website. I forgot to give my Airpoints # to our new travel agent so was trying to tee it up myself on myairnz. Not the end of the world I s'pose.
Incidentally, the NZ flight shows up on the Qantas equivalent of myairnz. |
Kudos to the Kiwis
Two weeks ago I booked a business (J) class ticket to Perth on Air NZ.com. For some reason the connecting flights on UA within the US would only book into Y class, even though the first class cabin was wide open in both F and A. Called support, and after one our of arguing with an agent about the availability of business class seats on the UA flights, was put through to a supervisor. The supervisor said "We can't book F class on UA with a J class fare, and F is all that is open." I said, "What about booking the A class?" He said "What A class? I am not showing any A class." Once I convinced him that A class was available he sent through a seating request to UA and sure enough it was confirmed in A. Supervisor agreed that there was a glitch in the online booking system and promised to get it fixed.
Today I tried booking the same flight and the A class on United shows up just fine! |
Anyone have a web address for NZ that does not need flash but will allow you to book?
My little black box is playing up and I cannot get fares to display when looking TT - ROW is okay. Thanks |
Try this: https://myairnz.com/myairnz/initAccessibleLinks.do
I'm not sure you can book a flight with it however (links back to main web site). |

My passport details have reverted to information from one that expired in 2005.... Would love to know why this old information is stuck in my profile seemingly no matter how often I change it to up to date information. Anybody know of a good way to fix it? |
Any reason booking a Works fare should be any different to using the multicity booking tool?
Tried HKK to MEL 25/11 rtn 28/11 and nigh on $300 dearer to book as a multi over normal. Why - need to get early flight out of CHC on the 26th and this only option given |

I'm trying to book a return flight on expedia to Delhi on AirNZ and other star alliance airlines, as it as $1200 cheaper than any travel agent. However i'm trying to sort a stopover for a week on the way without doing a multi-destination flight - is there any way of doing this? Or do I have to book through an agent?

I tried it a few hours ago and it didn't work. I tried it now and it did. Wasn't able to try your trick.

Where did the list of discounted biz awards go?
I can't seem to find the list of cost for discounted biz class awards for GE, G, Koru under "Spending Airpoints Dollars". It seems to have disappeared from the website. All I get is a completely unhelpful listing of "how far can your airpoint dollars take you", and that does not list any discounted biz class awards for FTs. Please don't tell me NZ has done away with those type of awards.
Does anyone know what has happened here? |
|
Yes it is. Many thanks for providing the link. Not sure why I couldn't find it. For a moment I feared that NZ had done away with the discounted business class awards. Thanks again.

I am unable to cancel one of my bookings in MyAirNZ or the Air NZ website. Anyone else having a similar problem? It's one I booked myself on the AirNZ website with my credit card.
The information you have entered does not match an existing booking. Please check the details and re-submit or call 0800 737 000 for assistance. |
