Yes, they were great. We started saving them, rather than leaving them on the plane and still use them to this day. You'll get a few puzzled looks from AirNZ staff members or even worse when you pull them out on a train journey. I'm not a fan of the current amenity kit, but previous iterations have been worse IMO.
