Amenity Kit?

I flew NZ1 a few years ago LHR-LAX, when NZ first launched the 773ER. We had a brand spanking new aircraft, and I was in Business Premier.... it was a special flight to say the least.

As a souvenir, I saved my amenity kit but sadly lost the fun 'raccoon' eye mask that came it in on a recent flight. I wrote NZ customer service to ask but got nothing back. Any ideas on where else I can try, or where I can buy one?

I think you'll find the NZ J Amenity Kits have changed and you'll be able to confirm this but I believe that when you flew a few years ago the J Kit was in a box. Now it is a little envelope type thing with no fancy eye mask (Or at least when I flew in April to LAX in J that was the case

I remember when it came in a bag with corduroy eye mask and a "fancy" NZ pen.

The bag was useful, my partner still uses it!

i have several of the old business class corduroy bags with the draw string. They are fantastic. I never travel without it.

My mum still uses one I gave her. My sisters have requested them as well but, unfortunately, it looks like we'll never see another one again.

+1 - only retired mine when I got some of the new EK kits which I now use for travel cases.

I don't think they are giving out those kits anymore; only the cheap envelope type ones.

The NZ envelope kit bag is the only one that I have not found a use for.
KLM boxy thing for my hard drive
BA Body Shop bag (very old) for my I-phone cables
Asiana bag (quite large) for my computer power cable
Air France fold-over thing for my other smaller hard drive
Daughter loves the Kate Spade QF bags - they have high cred ratings at Uni
Malaysia Airlines white and red bag (but now replaced by their Tumi wash bag) for my electric razor.
China Southern for my Braven (NZ Elite Christmas gift) speaker - nice and snug with pockets for connecting wires.

Has anyone found an alternative use for them as I have at least five and my Wife wants rid?

The kit is as described by nz_crew.

It a small cardboard box - I think it's quite impractical for a traveller.

All in all, nothing special.

However, still worth getting as it means you are travelling in "Business Premier" and that's a whole lot better on the 773 than on the 772 or 774.

Does NZ give amenity kits in Premium Economy still? I'm on the 777-2 to YVR tomorrow night

Markhm Oct 15, 2014 11:53 pm

My wife tells me yes, albeit limited. Toothbrush, moisturser, lip balm. I have never flown PE lomg haul.

Yes - it's the same stock standard kit as you get in business.
