Really, I've always been a big fan of NZ but this added to the same for TT and PI flights and the nonsense One Smart card is making me think twice.

If elites really are to be charged for a bag under the ridiculous system it is very poorly thought through. When are Air NZ going to start to look after their HVC's?

with "coming soon" premium announcement ads gone quiet and the shareholder's report indicated nz is aiming for the mass market.
not to mention NZ tened to treat all the HVC equal. (not much of distinguish between *E / *G / Koru)

By inspection, the new K fares including bag are the same or up to $10 higher than the old fare. Lead-in P fares are same or cheaper than old K fares, but of course requires availability in P booking class.

It can't be, and I doubt agents will be checking this as they want to get everyone onboard quickly for an OTD (which hopefully wont be slowed down by people trying to squeeze oversize bags into Q300 bins)
:/
When we heard what other airlines are charging for baggage on domestic flights we thought "no way". We know that most of our customers actually prefer to take a checked bag when travelling around New Zealand. So you can count on the fact that no matter what domestic fare you buy with Air New Zealand, you won't ever pay for your first piece of checked luggage up to 23 kg - not at the time of booking and not on the day you travel.

Let alone be practical when, say travelling on a Beech, when even standard carry-on would be placed in the baggage hold?
