If you are a little bit short in FB points, they have sliding scale that you can effectively buy and top up. I was offered for c$0.0224 per point. It isn't a good deal, but not a horrible deal, either.
I topped up by transferring from Amex Canada, but at the ratio 1k=750 FB, this point purchase becomes $0.0168 per Members Rewards point. I extract way more value from MR points, if I've known, I'd bought points for that price, but when pressing, it's impossible to extract the optimal value 😅

I snagged a 13500 miles one-way deals on the ZAG-YYZ-ZAG route. It costed 27000 miles + 492 EUR in fees at the end. And outbound is on KLM 787-10 and back on AF Airbus A359. Pretty decent.

Was a little late to the party but just snagged a one-way BLQ-CDG-YYZ for 13.5k + EUR 220. Was the last seat at that price I found in the entirety of May.
It's seems Vancouver inventory is gone, but you can still grab a few one-way seats at 13.5k in Dec-Mar if you fly to (or out of) YYZ and YUL. Best bet for the origin airport (or destination if starting in Canada) seems to be BLQ, FLR, KRK, GDN, and GOT at this stage. Returns probably pretty difficult this late in the game.

Is there such a 24-hour cancelation policy w/AF or for all Canada-originating flights?
thanks

Thank you so much for posting this. Could use my expiring miles for a BLQ-YOW-BLQ, the homeward with 2 stops.
Works also great with Zagreb which would give you Croatia Airlines operated Business Class flight, something more exotic to try.
Also works with Eurostar from Antwerp, which is particularly interesting in case you live in Western part of German and also parts of France or Benelux in general as more easy to get to.
