What was your original booking class?

X (revenue, not award). But I had a similar offer several times previously on the same route (and also €119) whatever the booking class in Y (including Eco Flex). €119 or 139 are the regular prices on this route for paid UG. But there’s no point for someone being Elite+ to pay that for such a short flight, as you have already SkyP and lounge access.

As a follow-up, I’m glad I didn’t pay for the UG, as the middle seat was free (and the only one or one of the very rare free seats for my flight) and the Ultimate status gave me a top recognition on-board and a spontaneous free flow of Champagne by the chief purser :D

not the subject here, but funny glitch at boarding af1780... they forgot sky priority line and boarded half economy until they found out... we were all blocked quite far from desk. No sorry or anything of

Checked with KL on Twitter regarding miles upgrades from Y (N class) to C on AMS-GRU this coming weekend. Quoted 80.000 miles - I'll just wait for paid upgrades at check-in.

No upgrade mail, no solution with Platinum line as I was booked in O (award ticket). Tough AF0990 was almost empty: 8 seats available in F and 24 in C. Note that it is O which is the problem not the award ticket (75000 miles for this first segment). Return flight is in Z and will neither qualify for any upgrade, except at airport.

At the airport, at check in, I required for Miles & Cash upgrade. no problem. I was late so I did not make any note but the range was more or less : from 1850 € and 0 miles, to 0 € and 200 000, by 50 000 mile increments.

AMS-CMB 06/12 42500 miles upgrade available after checkin at the KLM app.
