Also 110K miles for Business and 50K for Premium Economy. Flight seems to be widely available in Economy and very full in W and C so maybe that's why.

To confirm my previous comment, now confirmed by the check in agent: Upgrade = Extra luggage allowance.

AF and KL didn't used to agree on that, but maybe things have changed. In my limited experience a check-in or DOD upgrade on AF included the extra allowance, but on KL it did not.

AMS-ATH KL EUR 99
ATH-AMS KL EUR 99

Not too bad for a 3 hour flight. Took one of them, already had a comfort seat on the other with nobody in the middle seat ;)

This was for CDG-ATL tomorrow, had the offer been anything reasonable, I would have grabbed it.

Maybe more people would take it if they used picture with BEST seats.

SFO-CDG on Sunday, "exceptional upgrade offer" from business (Z fare) to first (on B777): $2737

Nope

ATH-AMS has been consistently available for 99 euro the last few months. Does not really seem to depend on the cabin load, my last flight was about 50% empty and still had the offer.

In the past the price was normally 199 euro, and would go down to 99 euro in case of an overbooked cabin. It seems that the recent changes actually improved the offer on this route. I wonder if it would go down below 99 euro if the flight is actually overbooked?

AMS-TLV/TLV-AMS is offered for slightly cheaper when overbooked, I think cheapest I ever saw was 79€, I didn't take it and got an opup about 5-6 hours before the flight, at the gate about 5 or 6 pax that were before me in the SkyP queue had the red light and got a new BP...

a friend is taking ORY-RUN tomorrow, V class fare (1200€ ticket). upgrade offer at check in to W 579 € or 96 500 Miles!!! for J: 1650 € and wait for it.... 188 000 miles. is this a joke?? last year same day, the offer he got for business was 300 € (ticket price was 1400€, i don't have fare class). the worst part is that it may have been bought as the offer for J is not available anymore few hours after check in.

SkyteamEP Dec 24, 2017 11:39 am

Those miles offer are even more insane than the euros one.

This is turning completely crazy...:(
And, on a satellite note, the number of miles requested for an upgrade is giving us an idea of what it will likely cost for a last minute award redemption in the new FB rules from April 1st, 2018.

Sjondorn Dec 25, 2017 3:23 am

Nobody took the SFO-CDG J to P upgrade for $2737 on my flight (both of the available seats were empty). So I don't think its that bad with people accepting the new prices.
