(for example when flying out of such airports as HND/HKG/SIN etc). What would be the ideal route to optimise the F experience in your experience/knowledge?

Together with a friend who is a FB plat as well I'm considering using money saved during the corona lockdown (from 2-3 planned trips which got cancelled/shelved + some additional cash) to splash on a once-in-a-lifetime epic flying adventure once this is over, which of course must include La Premiere as well

It's all theoretical for now (especially given that nobody has an idea how the corona situation will evolve in each and every country) but given that we're flexible on the route it might be handy to keep a regular eye out on some fares between city pairs/play a bit with mixed booking class r/t fares on the ITA Matrix.
Very good anti-depressant therapy against Covid-19 . I like that
HND : no personal experience
HKG : the ground escort is perfect as everywhere. For lounge you have the choice between the Skyteam lounge and the QF lounge. I always heard good things about the QF lounge so tried it last time I flew P out of HKG and, sincerely, I was a bit disappointed. Of course, nothing plainly wrong and this is all 1st world problem. But you don't have a special area, you are with all QF J/P pax. The ST lounge is underground and doesn't have any external view. Overall, HKG is certainly not a bad station
SIN : experiences are several years old. Apart the QF lounge, you can use the CIP lounge & terminal (it's a separate terminal) where an AF P agent will take care of you and they have special snacks for P pax. They have also a private immigration counter and you are driven to the gate by buggy.

There is also a very decent station when flying P : JNB. There is a reserved area in the very good Slow lounge with a majordome service. of course, escort to lounge and to plane. A great station, really.

Of course, nothing beats the CDG P lounge

Been flying through CDG, in and out to SFO and out of DXB.

CDG is the best so far, obviously. If you're CDG based I suggest on arrival just fly to another city to enjoy it even more

SFO: P escort on deparature to the plane / arrival. Deparature expedites security (I have TSA Pre so there's rarely any line anyway), arrival doesn't expedite immigration but at least you pick up your luggage from oversized luggage area. On deparature you'll go to the Virgin Atlantic lounge (which is now airside). Virgin Atlantic lounge is definitely better than the AF / KLM has and at the time there's a lot less people. Suggest not to eat very much.
DXB: Escort on deparature (expedites security and immigration) and you go to another lounge (only departed using P so don't know how good that lounge is against J).

I've never been to the Qantas First Class lounge, but I would avoid the lounge at the CIP terminal. It's very far from the P experience you get at CDG food wise (though they had nice Bollinger Champagne).

Yes, CIP is not great. The snacks are mediocre and the buffet is awful.

The Qantas lounge is not dedicated first class. There used to be a reserved area for first class pax but last time I was there it was just a free for all. You still get the buggy service to the gate.

HND: On arrival you're met at the gate and luggage is collected for you then you'll be expedited through customs, etc. If you're connecting internally you'll be taken to the transfer station and re-met at the other end to aid check-in.

For departure you are taken to the JAL Sakura first class lounge. It's quite nice with decent facilities. The food is biz+. You will be escorted on foot to the gate, it's a long trek, and seen directly onto the plane. Pleasant and efficient but that's it.

SIN: I liked the new QF First Lounge very much (open since approx. Nov 19), you get introduced at the entrance, they have a nice a la carte dining area, attentive service. Yes, it is not First Class only, it is open to OW Emerald as well, but i had the impression they knew is F-class guest (BA/QF F as well of course) and who is "just" Emerald.

In the current climate, has AF changed (cut) La Première service either in the air or on the ground? Is the CDG LP lounge open with all related services?

We have opened a new thread for the future of P product:
AF « La Première » Outlook
All CDG lounges, including the P one, are currently closed. I think we'll have news soon about reopening dates.
For service in the air, we didn't have any report, but I can't believe there could be any cut.
