Some ringing endorsements. Will be there over the holidays and give it a try. So much to eat, so little time.

Great TR! Can I ask which Champagne they were serving on your flight? I'm off to SIN next month and have lost track of their rotations (It was Cristal last December, if I remember correctly).

It was proposed, but I declined because, for once, the AF gate was very close to the lounge so it would have been completely ridiculous to use the buggy. But, arriving in HKG, the buggy was very welcome as we were parked quite far from immigration

I think both.

Or direct transfers from one plane to another, if short connections/delayed incoming flight.

That’s why one always need to plan a long stay at the lounge to enjoy the wonderful VIP treatment

Hi Goldorak!

Yum, I love the Comtes de Champagnes. To me it is one of the most elegant prestige Champagne around. CdC, Salon, and Cristal are my three personal favourites!

Any chance you also kept the food menu? You don't mention the onboard food much and the only photo is the caviar (no complaint here! ). I guess you were still food from the lounge food but since you mentioned that you found the onboard food has further improved (it was good since the new P but in my view, not as outstanding as the rest of the product) I'd love to know what was on offer! Thanks!

The bubbles on my trips to and from SIN last month were also Taittinger comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blanc 2006.

My menu...

The turbot was amazing, the sweet omelet was yuck. Sorry - no drinks menu.

I too look forward to your report. I never tire of seeing La Première experiences. I would do one myself but I'm a useless photographer.

Orbitmic, Rosenfole and all, here you are for the on-board dinner.

As Orbitmic rightly guessed, I was not really hungry on-my outbound, after the great food at the P lounge, so I took the fish soup and the halibut/artichokes/spinach (which was truly excellent), and some sorbet. I already posted the drink list in another post before.

For the breakfast, instead of the 2 items proposed on the menu, I took the very good Lenôtre apple tart of the dinner menu + other French bakeries.

On the return flight, I took the salmon. It was good, but nothing to write home about.

Breakfast : apricot crepes

Thanks Goldorak.

Bit of a mixed bag on the return journey as usual I see. Outbound food is often better in my experience but I'm usually too full from the lounge to fully appreciate it. I've got to learn to pace myself

Agreed that ex-CDG is always better, but it does look much better than my last experience so I think that they have upped their game in both menu and presentation ^

And my dear Goldorak, even after a full-ish lounge experience, you still managed a four course meal onboard! Respect to you! ^ ^

From the recent trip report it looks as if there is a new amenity kit. A black leather foldover type kit.

Can you confirm?
