So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

That's a fantastic deal. Normally around $600-$800 on the A321

YVR-YOW, $346 from Tango, denied as I've got a Preferred row to myself.

Mrs. YOWgary just got $364 YVR-YUL, from lowest Tango, on a 767, which seems crazy.

Flight shows J8 Y9 K5, so pretty freakin' empty. I guess nobody's coming home from Christmas until later in the week.

Christmas day. I can't imagine that anyone would have been travelling for business on that flight. There were two other couples in the cabin, which already appeared in the seat map when I checked in at T-24, so I'm likely the only one that accepted the offer. We'll see what the offer is for when I fly back (YYZ-YVR-YYJ) on Wednesday. Likely not anywhere near the same price (and it's a 763), but it seems like the Y cabin is sold out, and only 6 seats assigned in J - so you never know! Plus I booked Flex on this segment.

Dec 30 - AC 465 YOW-YYC $84, AC145 YYZ-YYC $304 both from Flex G.

Interestingly, while the price stayed constant on 465 from T-24 to T-2, the offer for 145 was removed at about T-8. EF indicated zeros across the J cabin, and Y to V all showed 4 seats, but we received an op-up at the gate. You would think they would try to sell the LMU right up to the last minute with a Y oversell, but apparently not.

I did gamble on the op-up, as I thought the price was almost attractive enough to bite.
