So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Wow the recent offers for TCON J upgrades have been cheaper than the short haul YEG/YYC-YVR offers I've received for the past 3 years

It was from lowest Tango. But the buy up (~$590) is about the same as what they would charge at time of initial purchase (with full mileage points plus bonus). So to me the LMU is not such a good deal.

LAS-YYZ in flex. Offered upg to Premium Rouge for USD $250. Accepted because I was flying in/out the same day and was tired. Plus the premium rouge cabin was almost empty with around 8 people in it. I looked at the bid upg a couple of days earlier and the lowest possible bid was $450.

April 14, YVR-YYZ AC1178 T-23 Y->J for $659 then T-12 for $444 (each plus tax for two passengers). Declined.
