It's interesting to see on occasion that a diversion heads to the city that is the subject of the thread that reports on all such diversions. Some weird kind of karma with this.

On another interesting note on ac.com it is marked as:
flightaware also notes another scheduled stop on July 23

Amazing... Flight took off again after only 44 minutes on ground: remove the passenger, take statements, another walk around, perhaps add a bit of fuel, do paperwork... Impressive.

Indeed. Although I have to tell you that the turn-around in YQR was around 40 minutes, too, including delays by both the cleaning and baggage-handling personnel.

Incident: Air Canada E190 enroute on Jul 10th 2012, hydraulic leak
An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-190, registration C-FHIU performing flight AC-673 from Halifax,NS to Ottawa,ON (Canada) with 70 people on board, was enroute at FL400 when the crew received a "HYD 1 LO QTY" EICAS message and a low hydraulic pressure indication. The crew actioned the relevant checklists, descended the aircraft to FL280 and continued to destination for a safe landing about one hour later.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the #1 engine driven hydraulic pump.

An Air Canada Airbus A330-300, registration C-GFUR performing flight AC-849 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 258 people on board, was enroute at FL300 over Wales about 140nm west of London when the crew received an "AIR ENG2 BLEED AIR LEAK" ECAM message. Following consultation with maintenance on the ground the crew decided to return to London and to declare PAN PAN. The aircraft landed safely on Heathrow's runway 27R about 40 minutes later.
The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance could not find any fault during leak checks. Further examination revealed the number 2 bleed air monitoring computer was at fault, the computer was replaced.
The aircraft departed the following day and reached Toronto with a delay of 19 hours.
