It's 16:00 EDT on a Wednesday and now I can't even log into my own account on aircanada.com.

I was actually logged in 30 minutes ago and now I can't even get on.

Oh this is great

On ac.com, there are links to Bonus Miles offers for DEL and DXB

Except, when you click the red REGISTER link, you get this:

and

I spoke too soon.

This is happening again to me for full fare Y bookings with wide open J9C9D9Z9P9R9Y9 flights.

So frustrating.

(and no, this was not because I could log in just now - it has been happening to me all morning and afternoon)

This happens to every flight that I want to upgrade that clearly says "available or upgrade", allows me to select it, but then just hangs like this.

WHAT IS GOING ON?

It's been like this for almost a week now for me. I can't even upgrade on Lat fares where it shows "available for upgrade" and there is even ample R space!

See below for sample Flex fare upgrade with R inventory available. You can see I can select the flight for upgrade and it clearly says it is available for upgrade (EF is showing R3 at the moment).

And again

An error occurred and we were not able to validate your Aeroplan number. The system may be down at the moment. Please try again later or call Air Canada Reservations for assistance.

Will any heads roll? I mean, I get the odd website snafu, but ongoing daily stuff like this is beyond ridiculous! I just want to log in and change flights, upgrade flights, book flights... basic stuff... and that's not even possible.

funny to see AP website down mid-day, 4pm, wow...

another "enhancement"? = devaluation by cutting 24-hour day into 12-hour "working website" day?

...and then charge us for phoning in to make a booking that was possible on their website. Brilliant.

Realizing some time ago that my Aeroplan miles were being held hostage by these endless and constant "outages", I joined the ranks of the "Earn 'em and Burn 'Em" crowd.

Maybe all these Aeroplan "Out of Order" events are to prevent us from a run on the "bank".

Nah.....can't be

We at AC/AP, recognize you have a choice of airlines and loyalty programs. Looks like you choose the wrong one. Enjoy your ordeal.

However we will have the regulars posting how this is acceptable and we should be happy to fly such a wonderful Airline as Air Canada.
lol on another thread a poster/apologist said to save $4 paying for a mid flight snack on UA, he would fly the 777HD

Booked another full fare Y flight.
J9C9D9Z9P9R1Y9 flight. eUp site still hangs on me when trying to apply the upgrade.

I have come to the conclusion that from this point on I have to call in to get my eUps applied.

you'd think with all these IT issues creating headaches, they'd at least offer a beneficial "glitch" at some point (e.g. J pricing out as Y for points).

Sure but they will send you an email to call in to either cancel or correct the ticket at a $90 change fee.

Just finished booking Lat pass and eupgrade for the President together with a training exercise for his new EA onto Corporate Rewards, booking flights, and eupgrades. I totally feel yyznomads pain. eupgrade hangs on the confirmation screen and that is after the booking page took forever to complete.

Ended up having to call in the eupgrade, many thanks to a fellow FTer for giving me the number for Altitude line. ^^

Heads should roll for this multiday snafu with the website. Over on the ewwww eh! forum we refer to website as united.bomb; perhaps we should start using .bomb and aircanada.bomb on this forum.
