BTW, the latest I can see reported is Nov 22/07 (for early status last year). This does make me wonder if the experience is applicable this year:

So far 102K miles only 29 segments. Achieved it Oct 13 but still waiting for my SE card and certs.

Is that because you have another 280+ planned, or because you're confident they'll give it to you for 34720? There's no guarantee of the latter.

For me, I have over 175K status miles for 2008 thus far. Most likely as mentioned earlier, I will not be adding to that total for the remainder of this year.
