If you do Asia as you have indicated. I suggest you look at SQ PPS.
YYZP, by having looked at the what the OP posted,I don't think they would be able to make the required PPS sectors to make it worth it? Unless you read it differently?

Not doing SIN- NRT: SIN-BKK-NRT.

I am doing: SFO-HKG-SIN J : 6.5 Sectors one way.
SIN-BKK-KIX-ICN-YVR: 7.5 sectors.
I have to be in BKK & KIX.
Would love to fly from KIX-YVR, unfortunately SQ has no flight to YVR from KIX. KIX-ICN on ANA.
Total: 14 Sectors.
I always thought you had to be on mostly SQ metal......

Playing with numbers,I have worked out, I could still qualify for PPS with 2 RT trips & going over the water from NRT/KIX with UA or AC in J-class.
I would have to do SQ inter Asia in F.Additional cost 1K.

I hate having to take extra flights if I do not have to unless it is on my beloved UA
So I am thinking do I want to go KIX-ICN-YVR, extends my trip by 12 hours,
Or Go direct KIX-YVR.And do:
SIN-BKK-KIX in SQ F.
Beware the regional F and J to KIX on SQ and other *A partners.

I think Parnel and YYZPRINCESS have conviced me to go for SE and PPS.
I have a few sectors on my next trip on SQ in J; BKK-SIN-MNL; ICN-SIN.
There really is a lot of great information on the SQ forum, like YYZPRINCESS mentioned, that I have been looking through previously and it seems to make the most sense. I did also sign up for the Elite package that gives me 50% bonus miles this year on all AC flights which has been great so far.

Reading through this thread brought back fond memories of being SE, arriving at LHR, my name being called out as soon as the door opened, receiving a personal welcome, handshake , by the friendly AC concierge to London and being taken personally all the way to the next flight including terminal change.
In LAX arriving late night from YVR to connect to SQ for the onward flight to SIN, concierge again there personally welcoming me and taking me all the way to the next gate at the intl. terminal. It was great. I do miss it.

I am sure a lot things have been cut back but I also do see even as E right now that AC is trying hard.
I'll give it a try and let you all know how it's going.

TG Miles expire after a few years. I've met more than a few people that had their miles dissapear... and that really stinks.
Then again, ROP status is good for 2 years.

Have you ever thought of United Mileage Plus Status.

They fly to all the places you list, with the exception of Manila (UA code-shares to MNL through HKG and NRT).

When you fly UA metal as a (50,000 mile flyer and up) you will recieve 100% mile flight bonus.

And your paid J (C) flights can be upgraded to F... (from miles you're earning at double the speed)

just my 2 cents

You will need 20 more Sectors.
To get the 20 Sectors you will have to do BKK-SIN-MNL & ICN-SIN at least
four more times.within the 12 month.
I will have a YVR-SIN-MNL and MNL-SIN-YVR in September/October on SQ which should help to get the 20 additional sectors needed within the next 12 month.

I thought about UA a lot but just don't do enough travel to the U.S. to justify a UA Mileage Plus Account. A few years back I seriously thought of flying to BKK via SEA on UA but decided that I didn't want to go through all the hassle of pre-clearing US immigration each time and also clearing US immigration on the way back again in addition to clearing Canada customs and immigration after flying for 19 hours.
For Canada I am using CANPASS, don't have NEXUS yet as there was no need for it, maybe one day when clearing US immigration will be more effecient I would definetly consider UA.

The equipment in most part the same. Some of the equipment continues on to NA.
If you are flying from KIX/NGO/FUK there won't be any international cabin, just regional. As none of the flights from those airports go to NA!
