Can we update the OP, Andrew, to outline the Tourist booking classes Canada- U.K., which as I understand are P G N K & R.

I appreciate this sticky. :)

GO Discount Booking Class?

Quick Question - I assume that the Go Discount is one of the Tango Booking Class. Is that right? Does anyone know which class?

The discount is not specific to any one booking class. You can apply the discount to any Tango fare. R, N, G, P, E, T, K

But I presume not to Tango Plus.

Go discount has always been only for Tango fares.

I'm wondering if anyone has success for a Tango ticket posting to US or UA. In the US Air website, it doesn't include any Tango fares as eligible for miles accural.

I know the answer to this is located somewhere in the forum, but here goes again:

Given the limited class booking possible on the AC website for many non-NAmerican destinations, and some overlapping eligible fare codes on the new European fare categories from those listed on our SWUs/SSWUs...

Can one call AC res immediately after making a web booking to upgrade the booking class, and just pay the difference between the lower and higher class fare? For example, the web will default and book the lowest restricted fare available, so I must take a Q or V fare, but really want an H fare. So once I book the default fare, what will it cost me to move up to the H level so I can use an SWU instead of an SSWU? (i.e. must I pay both a change fee and the fare difference, just the fare difference; and is this also going to be subject to the fee to use a res agent?)

What does the 10*5 mean at the end?

This is a hit and miss. I was able to call earlier this year to do it but have heard somewhere that you can't do this anymore. Maybe Andrew can clear this up for us once for all.

Yes, you will have to pay the reservation fee unless your booking cannot be changed online. About the change fee, I have been waived once, bless the good agent.

Hi Ken,

Sorry if I missed it, but when did this happen (or when will it happen)? Both my cert and the website **(https://www.aeroplan.com/your_aeropl...nefits_2006.do) state that Q and V are upgradable with an SSWU on all routes, domestic and international.

Thanks,
