Sometimes on a TPAC, I sneak back to premium economy galley that separates the cabin from J, and if available, I grab one the sandwiches, which are in quarters, The AC sandwich often gets dried out after an hour or two of sitting out. Unlike BR and TG, who's sandwiches are usually "fresh" tasting, the AC variety do not have the crust cut off. Unfortunately, I think the caterers use a "salad creme" type of dressing (e.g. Miracle Whip) because there is a noticeable amount of sugar. I still prefer a stale tuna sandwich to the soggy hot sandwich with melted greasy cheese that AC can offer as a snack in J.

I just got an email from T&T with an announcement that it will introduce a new rice cracker snack mix on all Asia-bound flights (2 varieties: one for economy passengers and one available in business class).
Not sure if it's a rebranding of an existing product or something wholly unique to AC. Probably a combination of the two.

AC550 YVR-LAX tonight, I preordered the sweet & sour pork, what a joke, pork was tender but nothing resembling a sweet & sour pork, maybe 2 or 3 tiny pieces of onion in the sauce that was more of a tomato ketchup with vinegar. Service was almost nonexistent with no drink refills offered until after the prepare for landing announcement. 3.5 cashews in an otherwise bowl full of almonds. Piss poor business class service overall. Way better experiences in united, Alaska and American last year.

If you go in with low expectations you are less likely to be disappointed.

Okay first time ever on AC from SFO to YVR and though it didn’t look very good I actually quite enjoyed the sweet and sour pork.

Bear in mind I am used to British Airways - no business class seat, no starter, no nuts, no IFE, no pre-order, no hot towel. So for me, this was an insanely good short hop, the crew were friendly and I was kept topped up on my gin and tonics.
The bar did close early though. About 35 mins to landing they came around with plastic cups - usually on BA I’d grab a new drink for landing but they had closed already. That aside, I’m finding it humorous to see the complaints from regular users of AC!
