Want to try and explain ... you mean by this and why you feel either the need or the right to comment about my private life??? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Listen guys, it's one thing to debate about Aeroplan issues & it's also ok to never agree with each other. No personal attacks please.

Yeah! What he said.

I've been following this thread and come to the realization that KH and whyfly would like personalized SE service.
Most of my flying and fares purchased make AE a perfect place to park my loyalty. I have never yet missed getting an U/G.
The aerolotto now being tried by AC has already seen them change many flts back to having C available.
KH goes on and on about all his *****es with AC but continues to pour most of his employer's money into the carrier so they must be doing something right or he would be ripping his Company off. Whyfly is a bottom feeder who gets his status mostly by doing cheap mileage runs. I'm not sure what pecking order that puts him in.

haha...

In the end, you can't really fault Aeroplan on creating a system that is semi-revenue based. I am just happy this is not the CO Board.

I don't use the concierge service unless I have a tight connection or require something special.... However I must say whenever I meet them they are amazing, problem solved.
I guess I should call ahead when I'm arriving at the airport and I would get upgraded??? Not sure? The last few flights have been 1 hr flights so I never bother. [LGA and YUL] Next week I go to Montreal so I will call, and see about upgrade. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Why not just call the SE desk at seven days out and request the upgrade? I assume you are on an eligible fare?

If not, then this is not a part of the concierge's job, nor a reasonable expectation of them. They are not there to process upgrades on ineligible tickets. If the flight is oversold they might look after you, but I think to call ahead and ask for this would be inappropriate.
