Update: Spoke with AMEX rep today (JAN 18): received an ETA of 48-72 business hours for the issue to be resolved. Guessing probably Tuesday-Wednesday of next week. They said it'll either be transferred to AP or credited back to MR.

Update 3: Issue has been resolved at AMEX's end
After multiple calls to AMEX, they finally confirmed that they have resolved the issue. For me, that meant they credited the points back to my MR account.
Did 3 transfers, totalling >100k points - all of them went through near instantaneously!

Aeroplan miles not appearing after transfer
I transferred points to my Aeroplan account from AMEX and they show when I look at family sharing, but when I look at my account, it doesn't show under activity and they aren't available to use. I transferred points the other day and many other times and they were available and appeared immediately. Anyone have any ideas what may be going on? Calling is useless as they keep saying they can't connect me due to call volume. Thanks!

I transferred points to my Aeroplan account from AMEX and they show when I look at family sharing, but when I look at my account, it doesn't show under activity and they aren't available to use. I transferred points the other day and many other times and they were available and appeared immediately. Anyone have any ideas what may be going on? Calling is useless as they keep saying they can't connect me due to call volume. Thanks!

No, my personal points don't increase, but when I look at the family sharing accounts, under each person's name is the number of miles and under my name it shows the transferred miles.

So when you add up number of miles that you see in family sharing it is different than your total you see in your account?

I transferred from Amex 35 minutes ago. They instantly show as a line item under activity, but haven't been added to my total miles so are unavailable for use. On hold to AC, but has anyone else had experience with this and how long it's taken for them to be available to use? I keep refreshing in hopes...

I had exactly the same thing happen today. The activity appears but the total didn't update until a couple of hours later even though looking at family sharing and summing the amounts did show correctly immediately. Bizarre but all's-well-that-ends-well.
