OK, we have a confirmed date for the Christmas do: Thursday December 22nd - at 6:30pm.
The location is downtown Toronto, at the CRAFT Beer Market - Toronto (1 Adelaide St East).

I'm a maybe to attend, but cannot update the wiki as I do not have the required 90 posts.

If the group is into beers, I can recommend:

Craft Beer Market near King Street Station
Beertown Public House near St Andrews Station

Both have great selection of pints!

I have no issue with a beer-focused establishment as long as they have a "full bar".

Not everyone is going to like any specific thing, so if the venue is too focused, it can cause problems.

Fair enough. I know that they do have cocktail offerings and am fairly confident they had a shelf of liquor bottles as well.

I'm sure others in here will have suggestions as well!

I've literally watched you buy a plane ticket to halfway around the world for the next morning and cancel it, so I'm not sure how confident "waitlist" is .

It would be great to finally meet you in person! If I know you're coming I can even try to bring a math book you might like, though I'll be leaving home 10 days before the DO.

Craft is a good choice. Decent menu too. Close to where I have to go next! Fairly large space, but it can be busy so not sure if they can accomodate us.
