This sounds great. Would be nice to meet everyone. I've just submitted my dates for when I'm tentatively still in Toronto. I may make a run for SE which could cause an availability wrinkle.

Until then, start to nag others in the Toronto area to sign up. @yyznomad, it's been a while since I've seen you at a do!

Here are the leading dates so far:

Thu Dec 22 - 10 people
Wed Dec 21 - 8 people
Sun Dec 11 - 7 people
Fri Dec 23 - 7 people
I've entered my dates.

I'm with Adam Smith . Maybe, maybe not, but not quite invested enough to think of a date.

OK RangerNS , I'll make it easier for you & Adam Smith . The hive has spoken. The clear preference is Thursday, Dec 22nd. 17 people have now indicated that as a viable date, and the 2nd place date only has 12 votes.

So we'll lock in the date of the do as Thursday, Dec 22nd. I'm going to assume it will be early evening (6:30pm or thereabouts).

Now I'll set about finding a location. If anyone has any preferences about that, then let me know - otherwise I will just call around to some downtown bars and see who'll take a reservation of that size.

I have just created a Wiki to track the confirmed attendees. Please add yourself to the appropriate section.

canopus27 - Given the naming convention used elsewhere, I'm surprised that you are not calling this a "Late Fall Do".

Fall ends on December 21, so that would be inaccurate

The real question is whether this Do will have better or worse weather than the November 5 YYC Do

Don't get me started on the supposed first day of Fall being the shortest day of year. Simply bonkers!

That said, I wish all those attending the Do a silky smooth travel / weather experience. Maybe the newly reopened runway at YYZ will help too.

If it's the 22nd, I will have to bail early. I have a function downtown at 8 pm. so likely will only be able to stop by for a quick howdy.

Totally understand - but can you add yourself to the wiki at least, so that I'll know how many seats to reserve?

I have no knowledge of places in Toronto, but if the choice still has to be made, near the subway would be great.

Looking foward to it!
