Does this mean that a flight in J that earns 150% miles actually earned 300% with bonus?

This has been discussed extensively in the thread and the answer is nobody knows for sure.

Sorry, must have missed that scrolling through.

We're closing in on the 7 week mark since the beginning of January, so hopefully some concrete evidence will come up soon regarding exactly how the bonus is applied.

Calculate ACV SQD/SQM

How do I go about estimating the SQD and SQM for a trip booked via ACV, departing first week of March?

Mileage I guess is easy, it's the dollars portion. What portion of the package do they assign to the flight to use for SQD and then, how do I know the overall value assigned just to me, to calculate straight point earn?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't count on it. AC doesn't generally write clear T&C for these promos, and I expect that we're all going to get one big dump of SQx in May or June labelled as "ACCELERATE YOUR WAY TO STATUS", and we'll each be left to try to reconcile it.

The terms say "Please allow 6-8 weeks for Bonus SQM, SQS and SQD to be credited in your account, following your Eligible Scheduled Flight departure."

That's very different from the typical "6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion period".

I mean I'm still waiting for my 25/25/3 bonus, so I'm not saying they adhere to their own deadlines even when the intent is there... but these terms are pretty clear.

Sure. But they've frequently found themselves unable to deliver on promos as specified/on time (as with your 2022 status jump start). I'm guessing this will be yet another mess and that it may work out the way I suggested upthread, regardless of what they intended.

I hope to be proven wrong. But I have very little faith.

Well, my LCBO purchase posted. I'm glad I have so many family members who drink but don't collect Aeroplan :)

I just had my bonuses post from my two whole 2022 flights. Flights were January 28 and 30th. I noticed my segments added two and sqd doubled. Had to scroll down to January activity and there they were.

If the promo bonuses are starting to post, I guess this thread will start to get answers.

Yup. BTW, the bonus SQM is 100% of Base Miles, no COS. At least on mine.

In related news, since AC gave me half the SQD for one PNR, I now have double the half. :D

My mid January flights are now in tonight 👍
They definitely weren't in earlier today when you originally made this post 😊

24left, you had comfort for your runs right?
I had Flex for mine so that's naturally easy to calculate 😂

Does anyone have any samples to double confirm if the following formula applies for Standard + PY + J fares?

Standard - 25/50% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus???
Flex - 100% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus <SHF's example>
Comfort - 115% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus <24left's example>
Premium Economy - 125% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus
Business - 150% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus

Standard - 50% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus
Flex - 100% SQM Base + 100% SQM Bonus <SHF's example>

I have no evidence, but I'd bet even more money now that it works exactly like the SE bonus.

The SQM bonus is equal to the base miles earned, without a COS bonus.

Business is 100% + 100% bonus + 50% COS = 250%
Standard is 50%* + (100% of 50% = 50%) bonus = 100%

*Is it? I'm using your example, but I thought there was a 25% too?

I thought the domestic economy standard was 25%? Only international economy standard is 50%?

Okay, that sounds right, but it doesn't change the math.

Why wouldn't the math change when the domestic economy is 25%?
