With the LCBO one simply needs to give them an Aeroplan number when making a purchase.

Yes, or they can scan your QR code in the AC app

Yes, but my point was that one does not need this :)

Someone in Ontario want me to pay for a bottle? You gotta use my Aeroplan number when you spend my money.

Always happy to drink on someone else's money :). I got my LCBO points earlier this week, but heading back to BC soon. If you want to PM me your AP number I can buy something tomorrow. No need to treat me. You can buy me a drink in a lounge some day :)

I think that you can just order something from eStores or from buy something at Starbucks anywhere to get credit for Option A, though.

Nice thinking! I will make the same offer (since it seems you already have a taker). It is of limited benefit to me however - of the three trips I have booked in the period, one is rewards and the other two are economy standard fares - so I won't be offended if someone who can derive more benefit wants to jump ahead of me.

I used up the last of my mum's Cabot Trail making a seriously yummy ice cream, so I was planning to replace it tomorrow in any case. If it helps WTME, then so much the better.

AC economy standard earns 25% of the distance for domestic flights. OP said there's a 100% bonus until April. So how many SQMs will I be earning for a YYC-YYZ flight?

Tax Dude Feb 4, 2022 7:00 am

835. 25% of 1,670, doubled.

Knowing AC, it will be 836, because it will be 418 base and 418 bonus.

Thank you. I think I'm still better off paying a bit more for economy flex for the better dollar to SQM ratio.

Tax Dude Feb 4, 2022 10:05 am

And you'll be doubling your SQD too!

I don't know if I really need the SQD. I'm seriously leaning on applying for the Chase Aeroplan card and putting US$50k on it, and it'll bump my AC75K status to Super Elite. I just don't know how committed I am to AC at the moment.

The Chase Aeroplan with $50k spend is the only way I can get to SE with my current lack of travel even with carryover and bonuses. The double SQD in this promo is going to make it even easier to get the required 75k thresholds which was going to be a challenge.

Will the bonus SQM earned in the promotion period count towards MM?
