I was thinking about changing it up to something like bluehairblackshirt and dying my hair, but everyone I talked to said I should stay with canadiancow.

I tend to prefer names that are unique to you and not like "Airbus" because you fly Airbuses a lot.

Which pretty much applies to all the names you suggested

Though I think if a bunch of us did it, XXyroldsuperelite could be fun.

Stopped by the YVR Concierge today to grab some boarding passes.

As I am about to leave, she notices the bright yellow FT tags on my bags. And then she asks if I know @24left and @yyznomad by actual name. Impressive.

I told her that they might be seeing a lot more of us once EYW kicks off. She found the whole idea of the contest a little strange I think.

Have been on flights with yyznomad, met at MLL /YVR and know the individual by name. Shared a few dos as well
As for 24left, have not yet crossed paths. Some day soon?

@24left has a habit of turning up when you least expect it, so you never know. But be prepared for the rock star experience.

And bring plenty of Kit Kats!

Spoke to a lounge agent at YYC yesterday and mentioned they might see higher traffic in the next couple of months due to EYW. Got back a blank stare and a "What's Earn Your Wings?".

So I explained it briefly and the agent said "Oh, we don't have anything to do with Aeroplan stuff."

So then I pointed out that it wasn't an Aeroplan thing, it was an Air Canada thing. That in fact it is actually named "Air Canada's Earn Your Wings".

Agent then said "I better google it..."

Interesting... although I have met some morning/afternoon concierges, the ones that I am mutually familiar with are the late evening ones.

Last year's booking period was April 5 to May 11, for travel between April 5 and June 29, 2018 (12 weeks). I feel like previous editions were similar.

Just to understand you guys have a spending budget just to get to the top of the challenge? Or trying to get your previously planned flights to fit within the challenges?

Those who are going for top 10, I think, have a budget, and given the prize miles and eups see it as positive return investment.

I may make a point of unusual routings or extra segments, but only to be pick up a few 10k's of extra aeropesos.

Argh I just realized AC changed something that's making it much harder to obtain their schedule. Well, not harder, just slower.
