Not directly AC-related, but I was in Gander last week, and they've maintained the international lounge that was used by celebrities and others when the airport was a refueling stop for transatlantic flights in the 50s and 60s. There's also a small museum with displays of the history of the airport, including it's role post-911.
Well worth a visit.

Seeing Air Force One at Davos was a C32 (757) I got a flashback to AC/Jazz branded 757s. Oh man do I wish AC had taken those on and added to the fleet. Imagin how much better a TCON fligt would be on a 757 versus an A321.

NB Nothing political intended here. Simply a plane geek looking at a news story and seeing a plane in the shot,

I used to absolutely love the different colours of the Jazz aircraft, and never knowing if you would get a green one, an orange one, a yellow one, or a red one. I had a yellow Dash 8-100 on this articular day ... pic taken through the window of the terminal in YYJ in November 2012.

Apparently AC & Eastern Airlines used to share two L-1011s Winter with EA and Summers at AC. One had a hybrid livery and the other was in AC colours, but registered N351EA. Also of interest are the backgrounds, I'm sure everyone here will recognize YYZ.

Quite the narrative on why the plane was written off.
