As the sun sets on 2021 ...and pandemic year 2, I choose to celebrate the good fortune of having spent the last 13 months flying.
Many here know I consider my views from my window to be the best IFE in the world. With that, I share photos from the most recent series of flights.
There she is, my namesake. Departing YUL of course.
I love this sequence
First time on an E175 in a long time. Departing YYZ.
Oh this was awesome. UNDER the wing and next to the wheel.
And departing YQB. Love this airport.
Departing YVR
A different day.....
So cool
I love the sun's reflection.
Also exciting to be back on the A320 and getting a great view of things I never noticed before.
Sunrise departure on the CS3/A223
And sunset....
Evening inbound to YYZ
Another day and noticed the new yellow paint
I love YEG, and a nice shot of some of the flock
On a rare evening departure, I got to enjoy views and colors I don't often get to see when departing YYZ
At YVR, my red-eye chariot awaits
Inbound to YEG on the CS3/A223
Departing YEG and the sun's reflection
And wingporn reminds me why I love to be above the clouds.
Window seats are the best. ✈️

Ok, 24left, I'll bite.
Here are some of my best onboard Air Canada in 2021 😄
CS3 Departing YYZ
Overflight over Banff
788 Descent into YVR
789 Descent into YYZ
DH4 Departing YVR
Air Canada Airbus 330-300 "C-GEGP Star Alliance Livery"
And Air Canada Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner "C-FVLQ Fly the Flag"
*Which oddly enough I haven't stepped onboard on 😆😆

@24left — reminiscent of a YYZ departure (to YVR) I had about 10 years ago. Standing in the gate area talking to the AC captain for my flight. Major snow storm. We were both taken-a-back to see two people with shovels arrive to dig out the aircraft. Your pic (above) would have been a huge step up. When I think about it, even all these years later, still seems unbelievable.

Buried out there in the pretty sunset, were some of the flock, a Maple Leaf tail sticking out here and there.
Yes, lights from the MLL, not mysterious space objects.
