AC 103 B789 at R2. Love my planeporn.

Another day dawns..

It was a beautiful day for flying

Pushing back

And it was equally beautiful on the other side of the country

Another day, another flight, this one AC 114 B789

The sequence of the sunset was beautiful
Looking at the nacelle, at first I thought it was the red strobe light flashing on it. But as we turned, I saw the sun’s reflection increasing
I liked this shot because of the sky and the bright multicolour flame-like reflection of the sun on the nacelle, towards the pylon and wing.
Plus there's often the aircraft's window tint, just for good measure.

For those with an operational interest, looks like this flight wasn't on the OTS network as NAT-A was north of this flight; instead, AC - and a number of operators - have been taking advantage of the reduced traffic and being able to UPR (random route) across the NAT HLA. With the reduction in traffic, the NAT NIL trial, and increasing space-based ADS-B coverage, common constraints that flying on a fixed OTS - such as maybe getting the requested FL, limits on the PBCS track, aircraft equipment requirements - have all been eased.
Similar types of constraints have been reduced in the Pacific with many PACOTS not being published or even formally removed from regulatory documents.
Edit: I used a lot of operational acronyms which probably should be explained.
NAT = North Atlantic
OTS = Oceanic Track Structure. These are flex tracks (roads) across Oceanic regions for flow (N. Atlantic / N. Pacific/Australia)
UPR = User Preferred Route. Flying Direct between waypoints instead of on fixed airways (roads)
HLA = High Level Airspace. This is the airspace controlled by Gander, New York Oceanic, Shanwick, Santa Maria, Reykjavik, and Bodo from Flight Level (FL) 290-410. This airspace requires specific aircraft equipment in order to fly here; without said equipment, you are either forced to fly low (below FL290) or higher (if able).
PBCS = Performance-based Communication and Surveillance. Basically a specific type of aircraft equipment for data transmission and communication.
PACOTS = Pacific Oceanic Track System.

On a recent YYC trip, I finally got to see views I've never seen before as I don't do this route often enough, so a bit exciting.
✈️
Inbound to YYC. Loved this.

And departing....

I always love when I can get a photo of the sun reflecting

This was really cool. Gorgeous colors of the water.

YYZ-YVR at R2
I noticed from my seat that the sun lit up the rondelle so I went to view and waited in line behind some cabin crew who were retiring and wanted to take the same photo. They were really excited to add this view to their collection.

I love my IFE. And in Forrest Gump tradition, we never really know what we'll see when we look out the window. When I get these views, I often feel like I live in a painting.

Now for something completely different, lol

I sort of twisted myself into a pretzel to book the CSeries (sure, A223). I'd flown the CS3 and CS1 a few years ago on another airline and wanted to compare. I also had no idea what the views would be this time.

I always love the shadow sequence. Most of my previous ones were departing YVR on a WB, so this was cool to see.

Also first time seeing this view of YYC.

Never gets tired.

The photo's nothing special, I'm just so happy to see widebodies back at YOW.
Might have to get content with this one, though, I don't think we'll see another WB route for quite some time.

Apparently one of North America's greenest cities......

Convective activity over the Fraser Canyon.

Convective activity over Kananaskis

If a roundel sees its reflection, 6 more weeks of happy flying?

The devil's playground

A shadow for 24L
